Then theres Tallinn, capital of Estonia, an opportunity to visit Berlin from Warnemünde, and a fascinating passage along the 61 mile-long Kiel Canal, which links the North Sea to the Baltic. YOUR ITINERARY Friday 18th July - Tilbury Depart 1700 Saturday 19th - Cruising at sea. Kiel Canal A fascinating evening passage through the Kiel Canal, opened in 1895 and now the worlds busiest man-made waterway, saving a journey of 280 nautical miles around Denmark. Sunday 20th - Warnemünde (for Berlin) Arrive 0900  Depart 2200 Warnemünde is your starting point for a fascinating full day optional excursion to Berlin, the vibrant capital of unified Germany. Cosmopolitan and rich in history and culture, Berlin is packed with must-see sights such as the Cathedral, the Brandenburg Gate, the Kaiser-Wilhelm Memorial Church and the recently re-opened Jewish Museum. Monday 21st - Cruising at sea. Tuesday 22nd - Tallinn Arrive 1230  Depart 1730 Blessed with a rich cultural past and bright future, the enchanting Estonian capital of Tallinn is one of the most attractive cities of the Baltic. This historic city has been wonderfully preserved, with many Gothic buildings, a cathedral and fortress. Wednesday 23rd - St. Petersburg Arrive 0800 St. Petersburg is one of Europes most beautiful cities, boasting magnificent palaces, showplace boulevards, shimmering gold domes and picturesque canals. Be sure to visit the Hermitage Museum, home to an astounding art collection, the formidable Peter and Paul Fortress and nearby Petrodvorets, the Tsars Summer Palace. Thursday 24th - St. Petersburg Depart 1900 capital is home to the worlds largest palace, an elegant opera house and the Gamla Stan  a charming labyrinth of cobbled streets, old shops and attractive cafés. Sunday 27th - Copenhagen Arrive 0700  Depart 1400 The Danish capital is a cosmopolitan blend of fine buildings, pavement cafés, superb shopping and magnificent art treasures. It is also one of the most exuberant cities in northern Europe  the carnival atmosphere of Tivoli Gardens is not to be missed. And no visit to Copenhagen is complete without seeing the bronze statue of Hans Christian Andersens Little Mermaid. Monday 28th - Night-time transit of the Kiel Canal. Cruising at sea.
