This wonderful cruise is a great way to discover and enjoy some of Britains most dramatic and beautiful scenery. As we circumnavigate Great Britain, most days bring a new port of call, from Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides, around Lands End to the Isles of Scilly. With visits to the colourful Irish capital of Dublin and delightful St. Peter Port on Guernsey along the way, this is a truly memorable cruise.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Tilbury Depart 1800 DAY 2 - Cruising at sea. DAY 3 - Invergordon Arrive 0730 Depart 2200 Tucked away in the Cromarty Firth lies Invergordon, gateway to the Highlands of Scotland. From here you can visit nearby Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, or take a trip to Loch Ness, home to the elusive monster! DAY 4 - Kirkwall, Orkneys Arrive 0730 Depart 1800 footpaths, nature trails and a selection of white sandy beaches for you to enjoy. You can also visit the island of Tresco, home to the famous Abbey Gardens with its variety of sub-tropical plants. DAY 9 - St. Peter Port, Guernsey Arrive 0730 Depart 1300 Guernseys capital, St. Peter Port, appears to tumble down the hill behind the quaint harbour in its eagerness to welcome visitors. The markets and alleyways provide a delightful environment in which to shop and explore a town which has changed little in centuries. Castle Cornet has guarded the harbour entrance for over 800 years, and is the ideal spot from which to watch the ships, fishing boats and pleasure craft below. DAY 10 - Tilbury Arrive 0900 *Stornoway will be replaced with a call into Portree on the Isle of Skye on our May 7th and July 9th departures (0730/2000).
GUERNSEY
Capital of the Orkney Islands, Kirkwall is dominated by the magnificent St. Magnus Cathedral, built in medieval times using locally quarried red and yellow sandstone. DAY 5 - Stornoway * Arrive 0800 Depart 2000 Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides is situated 38 miles from the mainland of north-western Scotland. The islands are the main manufacturing centre for the famous Harris Tweed cloth, which is now exported all over the world. Nearby you can see the marvellous historical sites of the Standing Stones of Callinish Scotlands Stonehenge and Dun Carloway Broch. DAY 6 - Tobermory Arrive 0730 Depart 1700 The pretty town of Tobermory, with its brightly painted houses, is the capital of the Isle of Mull. It is famous for its whisky distilleries and also for the shipwreck of the Florencia, part of the Spanish Armada, which sank in the bay in 1588. Explore the island further and be impressed by its remote Scottish castles, including the 13th century Duart Castle, home of the clan chief of the MacLeans, or make a longer pilgrimage to Iona, believed to be the first Christian site in Scotland. DAY 7 - Dublin Arrive 0800 Depart 1800 Rich in culture and history, Dublin is a cosmopolitan city with splendid Georgian squares and many sights of interest such as the famous Trinity College, founded in 1592, and the 12th century Gothic St. Patricks Cathedral. Enjoy the friendly Irish welcome, explore the delights of this fair city and sample a drop of the old black stuff in one of the many lively pubs or bars! DAY 8 - St Marys, Isles of Scilly Arrive 0830 Depart 2000
