YOUR ITINERARY Wednesday November 5th - Tilbury Depart Midday Thursday 6th - Bremerhaven, Germany Arrive 1300 Depart 2000 Go shopping in the rebuilt city centre. Visit the German Emigration Centre, the Maritime Museum with ships dating from 1380, the aquarium and zoo, home to wildlife from the Arctic. Friday 7th to Sunday 9th - Cruising at sea Monday 10th - Lisbon Arrive 0730 Depart 2000 The approach to Portugals historic capital Lisbon is one of the finest entries in the world. Visit the Jeronimos Monastery and the Monument to the Discoveries in the lovely riverside quarter of Belem, the Royal Palace of Queluz in Sintra, the elegant resort of Estoril and the beautiful Estufa Fria gardens. Tuesday 11th - Cruising at sea Wednesday 12th - Funchal, Madeira Arrive 0730 Depart 1400 Madeira is an island of stunning scenery and glorious gardens. Take an optional tour to Eira do Serrado to enjoy spectacular views over Nuns Valley, the towering cliff of Cabo Girao, or take an exhilarating ride in a traditional wicker toboggan. Thursday 13th and Friday 14th - Cruising at sea Saturday 15th - Mindelo, Cape Verde Islands Arrive 0700 Depart 1900 The Cape Verde Islands off the coast of West Africa comprise ten volcanic islands and eight islets which form a rugged, lunar landscape. Wander round the colonial-style houses, complete with balconies and shutters in Mindelo, the beautiful capital of Sao Vicente. Sunday 16th - Praia, Cape Verde Islands Arrive 0700 Depart 1830 Praia is the capital of one of the largest islands, Santiago. Look out for carved coconut shells and lacework and see Albuquerque Square, the old city hall and Presidential Palace. Monday 17th to Thursday 20th - Cruising at sea Friday 21st - Belém, Brazil Arrive 0700 Depart 1700 Belém, the first European colony on the Amazon River, became part of Brazil in 1775 but preserves strong Portuguese links. Stroll around the huge open-air market and the charming tree filled squares, churches and traditional blue tiled houses in the old quarter. Saturday 22nd - Cruising at sea Sunday 23rd - Fortaleza, Brazil Arrive 1330 Depart 1830 Relax on one of the beautiful beaches or wander through the boutiques selling local handicrafts. Monday 24th - Natal, Brazil Arrive Midday Depart 1830 Explore the church of Santo Antonio, the old cathedral and the Forte dos Reis Magos, or relax on the beach. Tuesday 25th - Recife, Brazil Arrive 0700 Depart 1900 Known as the Venice of Brazil, Recife boasts beautiful, winding waterways, bridges and islands. Home to many Brazilian poets and writers, magnificent and ornate churches and monasteries, its the countrys cultural capital. Wednesday 26th - Cruising at sea Thursday 27th - Salvador, Brazil Arrive 0700 Depart 1230 Explore this exotic city with its strong African influence, evident in its culture, dress, food, dance styles and music. Friday 28th - Cruising at sea Saturday 29th - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Arrive 0800 Disembark for your return flight to the UK. Sunday 30th - Arrival in the UK.
