Enjoy the scenery from the comfort of our popular cruise ship, the m/v Princess Christina. Our itinerary features visits to the historic wine towns of Boppard, Rüdesheim and Cochem as well as the Rhineland capital of Cologne. After your cruise, you visit the beautiful medieval Belgium town of Bruges, with an optional visit to delightful Ypres. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Local departure and a mid-morning crossing to Calais. Continue through Belgium into Germany to Cologne, where the m/v Princess Christina is berthed overnight. DAY 2 - Sail up the Rhine to Koblenz, at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers for a late afternoon arrival. Free time to explore the altstadt (old town), before returning to the ship in time for dinner. DAY 3 - Leaving Koblenz, we cruise along the peaceful Moselle to the attractive town of Cochem. In the afternoon there is an optional visit to the impressive Reichsburg Castle, one of the most famous castles on the Moselle. Its medieval ramparts and spires form a dramatic backdrop to the town and once at the top you will be amazed by the wonderful views. In the evening enjoy an optional wine tasting of the delicious local wines. DAY 4 - Cruise downstream back to Koblenz and continue up the Rhine to the popular riverside resort of Boppard with its pretty promenade. Free time to explore the town, known as the Pearl of the Rhine. DAY 5 - Today our cruise passes through the dramatic scenery of the Rhine Gorge and the Lorelei Rock, before arriving at the popular wine town of Rüdesheim in the afternoon. You will have plenty of time to explore the town and soak up the atmosphere of the famous narrow street, the Drosselgasse, with its traditional wine taverns. DAY 6 - Another scenic day as we turn and sail downstream from Rüdesheim to Andernach. In the afternoon join an optional excursion to the beautiful Ahr Valley and a visit to the pretty walled town of Ahrweiler. DAY 7 - Your cruise continues to Königswinter, where there is an optional visit to the famous ruins of the Drachenfels Castle. The castle is reached by cog railway, and enjoys panoramic views over the Rhine and beyond. After lunch we sail to Cologne where there is an optional guided tour of the city. In the evening enjoy the Captains farewell dinner. DAY 8 - Disembark after breakfast and drive to Bruges for a two night stay on a bed and breakfast basis at the Novotel on the outskirts or similar. DAY 9 - Today join our included morning in beautiful Bruges where you can explore the delightful old town and perhaps take a cruise through the network of canals (at extra cost). In the late afternoon there is an optional visit to the historic town of Ypres, staying to attend the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate. DAY 10 - We call in at the popular seaside town of Ostend where you can stroll along the promenade or browse in the pedestrianised shopping centre before returning to Calais for a late afternoon crossing back to the UK. Return to your original departure point in the evening. M/V PRINCESS CHRISTINA The m/v Princess Christina has just over 100 berths and we offer accommodation on two decks  main deck and promenade deck. There are two further decks: one contains the restaurant, the other is the sun deck. There is also a lounge bar situated on the promenade deck. The entire ship is air-conditioned. A lift is available from the main deck to the promenade deck and to the restaurant. Deluxe cabins are larger than standard cabins and feature tea and coffee making facilities. Buffet breakfast, morning coffee, lunch and a four course evening meal are included on board daily. On some evenings there will be entertainment provided and on the final night, there is a Captains Dinner.
