This remarkable holiday takes you to two of the worlds most fascinating countries and includes visits to two genuine wonders the stunning ancient city of petra and the worldfamous Taj Mahal.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Amman where we stay overnight. DAY 2 - Depart Amman for the drive south to Madaba. Visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, before continuing to Mount Nebo, from which Moses sighted the Promised Land. We drive to the Crusader castle of Kerak, and on to Petra for a two night stay. DAY 3 - Today we include a full day walking visit to the ancient city of Petra, carved into sandstone cliffs and reached via a long narrow defile, known as the Siq. As you emerge from the Siq your first view is of the magnificent Treasury building. Day 4 - Travel to Wadi Rum, where you will explore the desert in a 4x4 jeep before continuing to Wadi Araba and the Dead Sea, where you can spend time bathing and relaxing in the unusually salty water. Return to Amman for an overnight stay. Day 5 - Morning city tour of Amman, and the Roman city of Jerash. Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to Delhi. Day 6 - Morning arrival in Delhi followed by a transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay. This afternoon we include a sightseeing tour of New Delhi and a brief visit will also be made to Old Delhi. DAY 7 - Depart Delhi for the drive to Agra and en route visit the tomb of Akbar the Great at Sikandra. On arrival in Agra you will visit Agra Fort. Continue to the hotel for an overnight stay. This evening we pay a visit to the world-famous Taj Mahal at sunset a truly glorious sight. DAY 8 - There will be an opportunity to take an optional early morning visit to see the Taj Mahal at sunrise before the morning drive from Agra to the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri. Continue to the famous pink city of Jaipur, which is set amongst barren hills and is the capital of Rajasthan. Accommodation for two nights has been arranged. DAY 9 - Morning included visit to the Amber Fort, set high above a valley and lake. This afternoon we include a sightseeing tour of Jaipur. DAY 10 - Depart Jaipur for the drive back to Delhi for an overnight stay. Evening at leisure. DAY 11 - Early morning transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

Your Hotels In Amman you will stay at the Bellevue Hotel, at petra you will stay in the Crowne Plaza Resort or similar. In delhi you will stay at the Radisson, and in Agra you will stay at the Clarks Hotel. In Jaipur you will stay at the Country Inn and Suites. All rooms feature private facilities, air-conditioning, TV and telephone. Hotel amenities include restaurant and bar.
