Malaysia is a truly unique experience. You will journey through breathtaking landscape in the lush heartland of this diverse south-East Asian country. Along the way youll discover unspoilt jungles, palm-fringed beaches and charming fishing villages. This really is a holiday to remember!
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Kuala Lumpur. DAY 2 - Arrival in Kuala Lumpur. Transfer to your hotel for a three night stay. DAY 3 - This morning we include a sightseeing tour of Kuala Lumpur. This is followed by a visit to a batik factory and the worlds largest pewter factory, Royal Selangor. Photo stops will also be made at many of the major sights. DAY 4 - Included excursion to Malacca, which is a living museum, testimony to its colourful past of Malay Sultanates, Portuguese, Dutch and English. After lunch you will also visit the Cheng Hoon Teng temple, followed by a stroll through Jonker Street with its colourful antique and handicraft stalls. DAY 5 - Today you will take the scenic drive to Cherating for an overnight stay. DAY 6 - Visit a sugar palm maker, a pandanus weaving centre and the Turtle Information Centre today, then on to Kuala Terengganu and an overnight stay. DAY 7 - Continue north to Kota Baharu, bordering Thailand, for a city tour and overnight stay. On arrival, you will take a tour the city visiting the Central Market. DAY 8 - This morning depart on a scenic drive westwards to the Cameron Highlands for a two night stay. Youll see the Malaysian Aboriginals, known as Orang Asli. DAY 9 - This morning you will visit the hillside market and tea plantations. Afternoon at leisure. DAY 10 - Descend into Perak State, and visit Perak Tong, a fascinating example of a cave temple. Continue to the royal town of Kuala Kangsar, and head to Penang for a two night stay. DAY 11 - Included half day sightseeing tour of Georgetown, capital of the island. DAY 12 - Transfer to Penang Airport for your return flight to the UK. As you will be flying westwards your arrival is later the same day.
