The archaeological sites of Greece provide an enduring attraction, but tourism is not new here, for over 1800 years ago the Greek historian Pausanias wrote the first travel guide! Travelling through the Greek landscape is akin to journeying through time itself. Symbols of Europes greatest ages are everywhere the Mycenaean, Minoan, Hellenistic and Byzantine and the 21st century is represented by Athens recent hosting of the 2004 Olympic Games. As well as visiting some of the famous sites, there will be an opportunity to enjoy a days cruising and then simply relax in a beach-side resort an unbeatable combination!

DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Athens. On arrival transfer to your hotel in the city for a three night stay. DAY 2 - We include a full day tour of Athens and a scenic drive along the coast to Cape Sounion. DAY 3 - At leisure in Athens or join our optional full day cruise to the Saronic Gulf, with lunch and entertainment on board. DAY 4 - We drive through the Peloponnese, visiting the theatre of Epidaurus and the ruins of Mycenae before continuing to olympia for a two night stay. DAY 5 - We include a half day tour of olympia, with the afternoon at leisure. DAY 6 - After breakfast, we drive to Delphi for an overnight stay. DAY 7 - Drive to the beautiful and historic island of Evia, for a three night stay near the popular fishing port of Eretria. DAYs 8 & 9 - Free to relax and enjoy our optional excursion. Evia Panoramic - A three-quarter day tour of this beautiful island. DAY 10 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. YOUR HOTeLs Throughout the tour you will stay in medium grade hotels such as the Hotel Stanley in Athens, the olympic Village Hotel in Olympia and the Hotel Fedriades in Delphi. Hotels feature bar and restaurant and some also have a swimming
pool. All bedrooms have private facilities, TV and telephone. On Evia you will stay at the Hotel Miramare or similar. Amenities include restaurant, bar, and outdoor swimming pool (normally in use MaySeptember). Bedrooms are either in the main hotel or in bungalows within the grounds. All rooms feature private facilities, TV and telephone.
