YOUR ResORT You will stay in the popular Hotel Ofir, located directly on the beach, close to the seaside resort of ofir-Esposende. The resort, with its wide, sandy beach backed by fragrant pinewoods, has plenty of amenities, with a good selection of bars and restaurants specialising in seafood. InCLUDeD eXCURsIOns oporto Highlights - A full day excursion to Portugals second city, known worldwide as the home of Port wine. We include a visit to a wine cellar plus a cruise on the river Douro.

Minho the Garden of Portugal - A full day tour of the beautiful Minho region, visiting the ancient town of Barcelos plus Braga for a panoramic view of the marvellous church of Bom Jesus do Monte. YOUR HOTeL You will stay in the popular Hotel ofir. The hotel is ideally situated right on the beach, within walking distance of the small hamlet of Fao and approximately 1½ miles from the main resort of Ofir-Esposende, where you will find plenty of amenities. This super hotel offers a restaurant overlooking the beach, a bar, TV, games room, snack bar, lift, gardens, tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool and childrens pool. The comfortable bedrooms have private facilities, TV, air-conditioning and balcony.

Medieval Valença - A fascinating three-quarter day excursion visiting the folklore capital of Portugal, Viana do Castelo, before continuing to the medieval border town of Valença. Take time to wander through the cobbled alleyways where you will find a number of shops selling linen, wickerwork, pottery and crafts. Fiesta Night - A colourful evening event of candle lit marches, dancing and fireworks with dinner and wine included. CHOICe OF OPTIOnAL eXCURsIOns the Heart of Portugal - A three-quarter day scenic tour visiting the prosperous town of Guimarães with its magnificent castle, where the first king of Portugal was born.
