YOUR ITIneRARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Malaga. On arrival transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. DAY 2 - A fabulous day of scenic contrasts, as we drive along the Costa tropical, partway into Las Alpujarras in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, and on to the historic city of Granada for a two night stay. En route we stop in the picturesque spa town of Lanjarón, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. DAY 3 - Free to explore the city of Granada. We include a half day tour featuring a visit to the world-famous Alhambra Palace, an impressive reminder of Granadas history. DAY 4 - Transfer to Córdoba for a three night stay. En route you will visit the unique town of Priego de Córdoba, home to baroque churches, splendid carvings and ironwork, and the restored Moorish fortress, the Barrio de la Villa. DAY 5 -Today we include a full day in fascinating Córdoba. In the morning you will firstly visit the citys intriguing Jewish Quarter and the Grand Mosque, known as the Mezquita. The afternoon is then free to explore Córdoba at your own pace or relax at your hotel. DAY 6 - Free in Córdoba or join our optional full day tour to Seville. A panoramic tour will show you the highlights of this beautiful city, such as the Expo 92 site, the Golden tower, the Giralda and the Gothic cathedral. In the afternoon there will be free time to explore or visit a traditional tapas bar. DAY 7 - Depart Córdoba and journey south, visiting the clifftop town of ronda, then head back along the coast to your hotel in the Malaga area for an overnight stay. DAY 8 - Transfer to the airport in time for your return flight to the UK.
YOUR HOTeLs Accommodation is in good quality hotels throughout. Typical of the hotels we use are the Hotel Las rampas in Fuengirola, the Hotel Guadalupe in Granada and the Hotel Eurostars Ciudad de Córdoba in Córdoba. Hotel amenities include bar, restaurant and lift, and all rooms feature private facilities, TV and telephone.

Take one of our special departures and extend this enjoyable eight day tour of the best of Andalucia with an additional four night stay in the delightful White Village of Mijas. Set beneath the mountains of the Cordón Montañoso, it offers traditional Andalucian culture and wonderful views over the Costa del Sol. You will transfer on Day 7 to Mijas (replacing your overnight stay in the Malaga area) for a five night stay on a half board basis. During your stay, we include a morning visit to Mijas and Fuengirola to introduce you to the area. Optional excursions to Gibraltar, plus Nerja and Frigiliana are also available. Accommodation is at the Hotel Hacienda Puerta del Sol located on the outskirts of Mijas. This typical Andalucian hotel offers bar, restaurant and swimming pools. See page 104 for further details on this hotel. On Day 12 transfer to Malaga Airport for your flight home.
