BLACK FOREST
The Black Forest is one of Germany's most popular holiday regions, astonishingly like the countryside you see in fairy tale story books. There are deep forests, winding rivers, rolling hills, pretty villages with genial innkeepers, friendly shopkeepers and cuckoo clock makers. Enjoy the wonderful scenery and great hospitality.
You will stay in the pretty little village of KehlKork, situated at the northern edge of the Black Forest region. Here you can find traditional, halftimbered houses which have been passed down through many generations. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Local departure and a mid-morning crossing to Calais. Continue to your overnight stop in the Reims area of France on a bed and breakfast basis. DAY 2 - Drive to Metz with time for a stroll around the historic centre, before continuing to the Black Forest area of Germany for a three night stay.

the area and a popular resort where you can enjoy a stroll along the shore. Continue to Staufen, a lovely old town surrounded by vineyards, with cobbled streets and medieval houses. There will also be time to visit delightful Freiburg, one of Germany's most attractive towns with its impressive Gothic cathedral and quaint shopping streets. DAY 5 - Depart after breakfast for a late afternoon crossing back to the UK and return to your original departure point in the evening. YOUR HOTEL You will stay in the family-run Hotel Ochsen in the village of Kehl-Kork. It's a welcoming place whose bar is popular with the locals as well as hotel guests. There is a party atmosphere in the cellar bar with a happy hour and bingo night arranged. Additional facilities include a restaurant, lounge, TV room and lift. All bedrooms feature private facilities, TV and hairdryer.
