A river cruise is the ideal way to appreciate the magnificent scenery of the Danube, see some fabulous sights and really unwind. The Danube flows through such historic cities as Vienna and Bratislava, while charming towns and picturesque villages line the river banks along the way. With full board accommodation on the excellent MS France, this river cruise is great value for money.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your flight to Vienna. On arrival transfer to the MS France for your seven night cruise. Following dinner tonight there is the option to take a guided tour of Vienna by night. The cruise will depart Vienna for Melk during the night. DAY 2 - Arrive in Melk early in the morning, with an optional visit to the baroque Melk Abbey. Return to the ship for lunch and cruise towards Dürnstein through the beautiful Wachau wine growing region. You will arrive in Dürnstein in the early afternoon, and take a guided tour of the town. Return to the ship mid-afternoon and continue on your cruise to Bratislava. DAY 3 - After breakfast, you are free to take the optional excursion of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Return to the ship for lunch and enjoy the scenery as we cruise towards Kalocsa in Hungary. DAY 6 - Depart Budapest early this morning for the historic town of Esztergom, where we stop for a while. The cruise then continues back to Vienna. There will be a Gala dinner this evening. DAY 7 - The ship arrives in Vienna early this morning. There is an optional morning tour of Vienna and Schönbrunn Palace, and in the afternoon there is an optional tour of the Hofburg, Austrias Imperial Palace. DAY 8 - Disembark the MS France and transfer to Vienna airport for your return flight to the UK. YOUR RIVER CRUISER Part of the CroisiEurope fleet, the stylish MS France has two decks and carries 160 passengers. Amenities on board include a restaurant, bar, lounge, sundeck and central air-conditioning. All cabins feature twin beds, TV, hairdryer, safe and private facilities. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included throughout the cruise.

DAY 4 - Today there is an optional excursion to the Puzsta, the great Hungarian Plain, featuring an impressive show of equestrianism. Return to the ship for lunch, and cruise towards Budapest. DAY 5 - Enjoy a day at leisure in Budapest, known as the Pearl of the Danube, with an optional guided tour of the city available. Free after dinner, or enjoy a traditional folk performance in Budapest (optional).
