Always one of our most popular Austrian destinations, our holiday to the pretty lakeside village of Weyregg includes four super excursions plus lots of extras. And there's plenty of time to relax in the hotel's lakeside garden!
You will find no better example of Austria's natural beauty than in the Salzkammergut region, fondly known as the Austrian Lake District. Here you will find beautiful deep blue lakes, surrounded by verdant pine-clad mountains and delightful villages with wooden houses bedecked with brightly flowered window boxes this really is picture-postcard Austria at its best. Lakeland Tour - A full day tour of some of the region's prettiest spots, such as Mondsee and St. Wolfgang. Hallstatt - A half day tour featuring the lovely lakeside village of Hallstatt. Southern Bohemia - A superb full day trip crossing the River Danube into the Czech Republic to visit the lovely old town of Cesky Krumlov. The following excursions are optional: Vienna - Full day trip to visit Austria's stylish capital city. Traunsee - A half day coach tour along the nearby Traunsee Lake where we visit the picturepostcard setting of Gmunden. DAY 9 - Time to head home, via northern France A for a final overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis. DAY 10 - Continue to Calais for a late afternoon A crossing back to the UK, returning to your original departure point in the evening. YOUR HOTEL You will stay at the family-run Strand Hotel, overlooking Lake Attersee. The hotel has a pleasant bar and restaurant, a sunny terrace and gardens facing the lake. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished and feature private facilities, TV, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. Please note there is no lift in the hotel. A barbecue in the hotel garden replaces dinner on one evening.

Our chosen resort, Weyregg, has long been a Travelsphere favourite. This picturesque resort is situated in an idyllic location on the eastern shores of the Attersee, the largest lake in the Austrian Alps. As a popular tourist destination it offers a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The views around the lake are superb and a cruise on the lake steamer will give you an even better perspective. If you like to be active, local facilities include sailing, water skiing, windsurfing, fishing, mountain biking, tennis and a golf driving range. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Local departure and a mid-morning A crossing to Calais. Continue to your overnight stop in northern France on a bed and breakfast basis. DAY 2 - Continue south-east to Austria, arriving A early evening in the delightful village of Weyregg for a seven night stay. Welcome drink on arrival. DAYS 3 TO 8 - Free to relax and enjoy our four A included excursions as follows: Salzburg - A full day tour to the `Sound of Music' city, dominated by the magnificent Hohensalzburg Fortress which can be reached either by foot or funicular. Visit Mozart's Square situated in the heart of the city, the Dom (cathedral) and the splendid Mirabell Gardens.
