Explore the glorious glaciers and majestic peaks of the Austrian Alps on this marvellous summer holiday in the Ziller Valley, one of the most scenic areas in the Tirol. Savour the Alpine atmosphere and take advantage of our superb range of excursions, taking in the splendid scenery and pretty towns of the beautiful Austrian Tirol.
You will stay in the delightful small town of Zell am Ziller, where you are guaranteed a warm welcome. Your charming resort is ideally situated for exploration of the spectacular surroundings, resplendent with lush green meadows, stunning views, mountain peaks, walking trails and pine forests. Alpbach - A half day tour visiting one of the prettiest villages in the Tirol region, characterised by its charming wooden chalets, many with beautiful floral displays on the balconies. We also visit the historic centre of Rattenberg. Achensee - A three-quarter day tour, visiting one of the most beautiful lakes in Austria. Why not take a steam train ride from Jenbach to Pertisau or a cruise on the lake. Kitzbühel - A full day trip taking you over the Gerlos Pass to the spectacular Krimml Waterfalls at 1250ft the highest in Europe then on to the celebrated resort of Kitzbühel. Free time here before returning to your resort. DAY 9 - Time to retrace our steps and head back A into France for a final overnight stop on a bed and breakfast basis. DAY 10 - Continue to Calais for a late afternoon A crossing to the UK, returning to your original departure point in the evening. YOUR HOTEL You will stay in the comfortable, Hotel Neue Post in Zell am Ziller. This family-owned hotel is conveniently situated close to the town centre and features bar, restaurant, lounge, lift, terrace, sauna and steambath. All bedrooms have private facilities, cable TV, telephone and balcony. Accommodation is half board, including buffetstyle breakfast and three course evening meal with menu choice. On one evening enjoy a regional menu with entertainment, live music and dancing. Bicycles are also available free of charge.

YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Local departure and a mid-morning A crossing to Calais. Continue into northern France for an overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis. DAY 2 - Continue your journey across Germany A and into Austria for an early evening arrival at your hotel in Zell am Ziller for a seven night stay. Welcome drink on arrival. Days 3 to 8 - Free to relax and enjoy our programme of optional excursions: Mayrhofen & Hintertux Glacier A three quarter day excursion to the popular resort of Mayrhofen, where you will have time to visit the traditional town centre where there are many shops and cafés. A short drive along the Ziller Valley will take you to the village of Hintertux, and there is an opportunity to take a ride on the cable car (at extra cost) to the glacier which affords magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. Schlegeis Reservoir - A half day excursion to this impressive Alpine reservoir. The area is ideal for an easy walk amidst the beauty of the Zillertaler Alps. Innsbruck - A three-quarter day excursion to the capital of the Tirol region. Spend time shopping in the delightful Altstadt (old town), or taking in t the many sights and museums of Innsbruck, `The Bridge over the Inn'.
