Enjoy a fun-packed weekend in Belgium's popular seaside resort of Ostend. With three nights' hotel accommodation, an included excursion to Bruges, a chocolate factory visit and more, it's great value for money too!
Ostend has grown from a small fishing village into a popular resort and has numerous attractions, miles of sandy beaches, a busy harbour, a pedestrianised shopping centre and an assortment of traditional cafés, bars and restaurants. Take a tram-ride along the coast, stroll along the promenade and if you're feeling like a flutter, why not visit the casino! YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Local departure and a mid-morning crossing to Calais. Afternoon arrival at your hotel in Ostend for a three night stay. Free time to explore Ostend before a welcome drink and three course dinner in the evening. DAY 2 - Today we include a full day visit to enchanting Bruges. Explore on foot, by canal boat or even by horse and carriage. We include a visit to a chocolate factory and you can relax in the delightful main square at one of the many bars and cafés. Tonight back at the hotel enjoy dinner followed by evening entertainment. DAY 3 - Free to relax or join our optional excursion to the Flanders Coast and Ypres, with a visit to a brewery for a tasting. Enjoy dinner and Bingo Night at the hotel this evening. DAY 4 - After a leisurely breakfast depart from the hotel, visiting the popular Cité Europe shopping centre near Calais, prior to a late afternoon crossing back to the UK. Return to your original departure point in the evening.

Ghent is packed with great sights, from the impressive cathedral to delightful churches and quaint houses, plus a range of superb restaurants and shops. What's more, we visit delightful Bruges and there's an optional trip to sophisticated Brussels, with visits to a chocolate factory and a brewery!
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Local departure and a mid-morning crossing to Calais. Late afternoon arrival at your hotel in Ghent for a three night stay. Enjoy a welcome drink with fellow guests. DAY 2 - Free morning to explore beautiful Ghent. Among the city's attractions are St. Bavo Cathedral, the Belfry and the Graslei harbour. Why not take a boat trip through the canals for a wonderful perspective on the city. This afternoon you are free to explore or join an optional trip to the charming town of Middelburg in Holland. DAY 3 - Optional full day excursion to Brussels. Belgium's capital is home to some splendid sights, such as the Royal Palace and the futuristic Atomium. In the afternoon you'll be able to see how the superb Belgian chocolate is produced and enjoy a tasting. You'll also visit a brewery and sample the country's outstanding beer. DAY 4 - Included morning visit to Bruges. The delightful old centre features the Bell Tower, narrow cobbled streets, traditional gabled houses and majestic churches. The city is also famous for its lace, chocolates and beer. Continue to Calais for a late afternoon crossing back to the UK, returning to your original departure point this evening. YOUR HOTEL You will stay in the comfortable two star Ibis Gent Central Opera, conveniently located in the heart of the city, next to the famous Opera House. The hotel has a bar, lift and breakfast room. All bedrooms have private facilities, TV and telephone. * Please note on the dates marked with an * you will stay at the superbly located Novotel Ghent Centrum with dinner included on the first night.
