This lovely river cruise to the glorious Dutch Bulbfields proved so popular in previous years that we are delighted to offer it again in 2008. Our comfortable cruise ship, the MV Princess Christina, takes you through the wonderful countryside of Holland to Amsterdam, and we include a visit to the beautiful Keukenhof Gardens.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Local departure and a mid-morning A crossing to Calais. Continue to Rotterdam to board the MV Princess Christina. Set sail for Schoonhoven, where your ship will berth for the night. DAY 2 - This morning enjoy a leisurely cruise to A Hoorn, a charming fishing port on the Ijsselmeer. Its attractive mansions built in the 17th and 18th centuries serve as a reminder of when Hoorn was a bustling harbour and one of the richest ports in Holland. DAY 3 - Early morning sailing from Hoorn to A Amsterdam. After an early lunch on board ship we also visit the dazzling Keukenhof Gardens (entrance included). In a centuries-old castle park, where swans glide sedately round the lakes, you will see thousands of flowers. There are also water displays, flowering shrubs, floral works of art, theme gardens and pavilions packed with flower arrangements. Tonight there will be a farewell dinner. DAY 4 - Transfer to Calais for a late afternoon A crossing to the UK, returning to your original departure point in the evening. YOUR RIVER CRUISER The m/v Princess Christina has just over 100 berths and we offer accommodation on two decks main deck and promenade deck. There are two further decks: one contains the restaurant, the other is the sun deck. There is also a lounge bar situated on the promenade deck. The entire ship is air-conditioned. A lift is available from the main deck to the promenade deck and to the restaurant. Deluxe cabins are larger than standard cabins and feature tea and coffee making facilities. Buffet breakfast, morning coffee, lunch and a four course evening meal are included on board daily. On some evenings there will be entertainment provided and on the final night, there is a `Farewell Dinner'.
