Relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery of Italy's largest lake, and also join our superb optional excursions to magical Venice, beautiful Verona and around the lake itself. A delightful destination and excellent value for money.
Just south of the Dolomites lies Lake Garda, one of our most popular destinations, with its dramatic mountain views to the north and sunsoaked vineyards and olive groves to the south. The lake basks in a glorious climate, remaining mild throughout most of the year, and the striking scenery makes it a wonderful place to relax. Verona - A half day tour to this impressive city, dominated by the Roman Arena Italy's largest opera theatre. The city's sights and atmosphere remain every bit as romantic as when Shakespeare chose it as the setting for the tragic love story, Romeo and Juliet. Lake Garda - A superb three-quarter day scenic tour to see some of the beauty spots of this fabulous lake. You will also enjoy an included ferry boat trip. DAY 6 - Time to leave Italy and head back to A northern France for a final overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis. DAY 7 - Continue to Calais for a late afternoon A crossing back to the UK, returning to your original departure point in the evening. YOUR HOTEL You will stay in a comfortable three star standard hotel such as the Hotel Pace situated in the pretty resort of Arco, approx. 2½ miles inland from Riva del Garda. The hotel has a bar, terrace and restaurant and all bedrooms have private facilities and telephone. Additional similar hotels and other resorts on or near the lake may also be used.

YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Local departure and a mid-morning A crossing to Calais. Continue to the Strasbourg area of France for your overnight stop on a bed and breakfast basis. DAY 2 - Crossing into Switzerland, we enjoy A a scenic drive through the mountains and into northern Italy via the St. Gotthard tunnel. We then continue to Lake Garda for a four night stay. DAYS 3 TO 5 - Free to relax and enjoy our A optional excursion programme: Venice - Enjoy a full day excursion to this extraordinary and unique city. Relax and soak up the atmosphere in one of the many cafés lining St. Mark's Square, take a stroll over the Rialto Bridge to explore the Rialto market and shops, or perhaps take a gondola ride through the hidden backwaters of the network of canals.
