The Republic's northern coast and Northern Ireland itself are renowned for their magnificent scenery, from the shores of Lough Erne to the rugged cliffs of the Atlantic coast, along with the quaint towns and friendly welcome. Our exciting new tour is a superb opportunity to discover the incredible beauty of the region and visit vibrant Belfast and energetic Londonderry, too.
Our super itinerary will bring the landscape and inimitable character of Ireland to life. Sit back and savour the rolling scenery, wonder at the Giant's Causeway, discover vibrant Londonderry, the only completely walled city in the British Isles and enjoy the rejuvenated city of Belfast. It's a wonderful taste of Irish life! YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Local departure for the drive to Liverpool A in time for your overnight cruise ferry crossing to Belfast. Enjoy an included four course dinner on board. DAY 2 - After an included full English breakfast on A board, we dock in Belfast and re-board your coach for the drive west towards Donegal. Your journey takes you south of Lough Neagh, through the rolling countryside of County Tyrone. Enjoy wonderful views of Lough Erne, before we make a stop at the Belleek Pottery Works, famous for the fine Parian China. Free time in Donegal town before continuing to your hotel in the Donegal area for a three night stay. DAY 3 - Free to relax or join an optional full day A scenic tour along the dramatic Atlantic coastline and into the beautiful Glenveagh National Park. Situated on the eastern side of the Derryveagh Mountains, the park is an unspoilt landscape of peaks, lakes and woodland. DAY 4 - Optional three-quarter day tour visiting A nearby Slieve League, one of Europe's highest sea cliffs, to admire breathtaking views over the Atlantic before heading to the old fishing village of Glencolumbkille and the folk museum. We return to the hotel via the famous Glengesh Pass. DAY 5 - Today we drive north-east through A County Donegal and back into Northern Ireland. We make a stop at Londonderry, where you will have time to explore, before heading on to the incredible Giant's Causeway. Free time to have lunch and marvel at this extraordinary natural rock formation, before continuing past Ballymena to Belfast for a two night stay. DAY 6 - This morning we include a Belfast city A tour, taking in Belfast Castle, the Cathedral and Queens University. Stroll through the Victorian streets and head for Belfast's main shopping street, the Lisburn Road. You can also visit St. George's Market near the waterfront, where you'll find antiques, craftwork and much more. DAY 7 - Morning free before an included A afternoon visit to Carrickfergus. Here you can take a tour around the Castle, explore the impressive new waterfront or take a stroll around the marina. Transfer to the port early evening for your return overnight crossing to Liverpool. Dinner on board is again included. DAY 8 - Included breakfast on board and early AY morning arrival at Liverpool. Continue to your original departure point in the UK. YOUR HOTELS You will stay in comfortable medium grade hotels such as the Nesbitt Arms in Ardara, County Donegal and La Mon Hotel & Country Club in Belfast. Hotels have a restaurant, bar and all bedrooms have private facilities, TV and telephone.
