From Austria's beautiful Tirol region we travel to the popular resort of Riva, on the shores of Italy's Lake Garda a winning combination!
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Munich. On arrival transfer by coach to Austria and your hotel in the pretty village of Kramsach in the Tirol region for a five night stay. DAYS 2 TO 5 - Set in the Tirolean alps, Kramsach is a delightful base from where to relax and enjoy our range of excursions. The following excursion is included: Mayrhofen - This half day excursion takes you to the pretty resort of Mayrhofen, in the spectacular Ziller Valley. This afternoon you are free to relax and perhaps take a walk through the picturesque scenery The following excursions are optional: Kitzbühel - Join this half day tour through the beautiful Brixen Valley to the famous resort of Kitzbühel. Explore the elegant shops along the Vorderstadt and Hinterstadt or take the cable car (at extra cost) up the Hahnenkamm Mountain for spectacular views of the Alps. Seefeld - Enjoy this three-quarter day excursion to the picturesque winter resort of Seefeld. Return to the hotel via Hall in Tirol, a pretty town whose medieval streets are watched over by the impressive Münzerturm Tower. Alpbach - Take a half day scenic tour to Alpbach, one of the Tirol's prettiest villages. DAY 6 - This morning we visit the famous city of Innsbruck, before travelling over the Brenner Pass into Italy. Continue to our Lake Garda hotel in Riva for a five night stay. DAYS 7 TO 10 - Free to explore the delightful lakeside resort of Riva del Garda, with its picturesque harbour and promenade. Enjoy our programme of included and optional excursions. The following excursion is included: Lake Garda - This three quarter day tour of Lake Garda takes you to some of the beauty spots if this fabulous lake. The following excursions are optional: Boat trip - Enjoy a boat trip on beautiful Lake Garda, with spectacular views of the surrounding area. Venice - This full day excursion takes you to Venice, with plenty of time to see the main sights St Mark's Square, the Doges' Palace and Grand Canal, and perhaps even take a gondola ride. Verona - Visit Verona, one of Italy's most beautiful and historic cities. Don't miss the impressive square, Piazza Bra, with its ornate fountains and pavement cafés, the magnificent Roman Arena, the Roman Forum and the Via Mazzini. DAY 11 - Transfer to Milan airport for your return flight to the UK. YOUR HOTELS In Kramsach you will stay at the traditionally styled Gasthof Gappen. This family-run hotel offers a restaurant and bar. All bedrooms have private facilities, TV and telephone. Accommodation in Riva is at the Hotel Oasi, just a hundred metres from the lakeside promenade and marina. There is a bar and restaurant and all bedrooms have private facilities, TV, telephone, minibar and safe.
