YOUR RESORT Weyregg is a pretty village situated on the eastern shore of the Attersee, the largest lake in the Austrian Alps. This really is picture-postcard Austria with brightly bedecked window boxes and pine-clad mountains all around. Enjoy the superb views across the lake or why not take a relaxing cruise for a different perspective. Don't forget to allow time for afternoon Kaffee und Kuchen (coffee and cake). If you like to be active, local facilities include sailing, water skiing, windsurfing, mountain biking, tennis and a golf driving range. CHOICE OF OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS Lakeland Tour - Our superb full day tour of the region visits some of the prettiest spots, such as Mondsee and St. Gilgen. Traunsee - A half day scenic coach tour along the nearby Traunsee Lake where we visit the picture postcard setting of Gmunden. YOUR HOTEL You will stay in the comfortable, family-run, Gasthof Sonne in Weyregg, located just a short walk from the shores of Lake Attersee. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, garden and lift. INCLUDED EXCURSIONS Salzburg - A full day tour to the `Sound of Music' city, dominated by the magnificent Hohensalzburg Fortress, which can be reached either on foot or by funicular. Explore the old centre and discover Mozart's Square, the magnificent Dom (cathedral) and the splendid Mirabell Gardens. Hallstatt - Photographers will get some terrific shots of the beautiful lakeside village of Hallstatt, on this three-quarter day excursion. Southern Bohemia (Czech Republic) - A superb full day trip crossing the River Danube into the Czech Republic to visit the lovely old town of Cesky Krumlov. St. Wolfgang - A three-quarter day excursion to the pretty lakeside resort of St. Wolfgang, home to the famous `White Horse Inn'.
