The breathtaking scenery of the Amalfi Coast provides the perfect backdrop for this wonderful holiday, with two super included excursions and some fabulous extras. Italy's most famous stretch of coastline is a unique mix of rugged cliffs, terraced lemon groves and picturesque villages, enjoying a warm climate with year-round sunshine.
YOUR RESORT The delightful village resort of Minori is surrounded by greenery and deep blue waters. Colourful, painted houses cover the steep slopes, which rise from the sea, and the nearby citrus groves make for a beautiful sight as they lead all the way up to Ravello. The village is home to the lovely Basilica of Santa Trofimena, as well as a selection of cafés and bars. INCLUDED EXCURSIONS Amalfi & Ravello - A half day tour to the picturesque town of Amalfi, beautifully poised between the mountains and sea, and dominated by its marble Renaissance cathedral. Continue to the historic cliff-top town of Ravello where you'll find the wonderful gardens of Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo, and an impressive cathedral, along with magnificent views of the coastline. Pompeii - A three-quarter day excursion to this famous Roman town, frozen in time by the eruption of the nearby volcano Vesuvius in 79AD. What remains is a fascinating collection of ruins and a remarkable insight into the last days of this doomed city. CHOICE OF OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS Sorrento - A full day visit to lovely Sorrento, set above the Bay of Naples. This lively resort is one of Italy's most famous holiday destinations, and has long been a favourite haunt of the rich and famous. The town offers some truly stunning scenery, along with a variety of shops, restaurants and pavement cafés. Capri - A full day excursion by ferry to the pretty island of Capri. From the picturesque port of Marina Grande you'll visit the village of Anacapri, the wonderfully laid-out Gardens of Caesar Augustus, the distinctive Faraglioni rocks, which rise majestically from the deep blue waters, and more. YOUR HOTEL You will stay in the Hotel Villa Romana in charming Minori, two miles from Amalfi. This family-run hotel is a short walk from the resort centre, with its narrow streets, townhouses, bars, cafés and a seafront promenade. The hotel has a bar, restaurant, sun terrace, lounge, garden and swimming pool. All bedrooms feature private facilities, TV, air-conditioning, minibar and telephone.
