You will be enchanted by the delightful Andalucian town of Mijas, which nestles on the high ground in the foothills of the Sierra de Mijas Mountains, above the coastal resort of Fuengirola. This pretty spot offers a tranquil setting and is the ideal location for a relaxing break.
YOUR RESORT Whitewashed houses line the charming cobbled streets, many of which are traffic-free. There are quaint shops selling local arts and crafts and a selection of bars and restaurants. Mijas has managed to retain many of its typical customs including the traditional donkey-taxis which line the central plaza. INCLUDED EXCURSION Mijas & Fuengirola - A half day introductory tour featuring a visit to the delightful Andalucian town of Mijas with its whitewashed houses and lovely views of the coast below. We continue to the popular resort of Fuengirola where you can enjoy a stroll down the promenade lined with cafés and restaurants. CHOICE OF OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS Ronda - Enjoy a three-quarter day scenic tour visiting the picturesque clifftop town of Ronda with its spectacular location and historic centre. Enjoy fabulous views of the gorge below from the amazing Puente Nuevo Bridge. Gibraltar - A full day excursion to `The Rock' including a fascinating tour by mini-coach. Granada's Alhambra Palace - A full day tour featuring a visit to this world-famous palace, an impressive reminder of Granada's history.

Nerja & Frigiliana - A three-quarter day tour visiting the beautiful hilltop village of Frigiliana situated at the foothills of the Almijara Mountains, and the coastal resort of Nerja with its delightful old town. YOUR HOTEL You will stay in the four star Hotel Hacienda Puerta del Sol located on the outskirts of Mijas. Furnished in typical Andalucian style, the hotel offers a very good standard of accommodation and facilities include a bar/lounge area, restaurant, sun terrace and lift. Leisure facilities include an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna and fitness centre. All bedrooms feature private facilities, satellite TV and telephone. There is entertainment on some evenings and a courtesy bus operates between the hotel and the centre of Mijas.
