YOUR RESORT Delightful Interlaken is set between the picturesque lakes of Brienz and Thun, in the shadow of the famous Jungfrau mountain peak. Make use of the highly efficient Swiss rail network to get around during your stay here. On excursions, where possible, the rail network is used. INCLUDED EXCURSIONS Bern - A full day tour to the quaint capital of Switzerland. The city has some of the finest medieval architecture in Europe and a magnificent cathedral. We also visit the shores of beautiful Lake Thun. Three Passes Tour - A full day scenic tour through the spectacular three passes of Grimsel, Furka and Susten a landscape of jagged peaks, winding roads and majestic glaciers (operates subject to weather). CHOICE OF OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS Schynige Platte - From Wilderswil the cog railway winds its way up to the mountain station of Schynige Platte, at a height of 6,454ft. Here you will have free time to marvel at the splendid views of the famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains. You can also visit the Alpine Garden before returning by train to Wilderswil and Interlaken. Top of Europe - Take an incredible rail journey to the Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe at over 11,000ft. We pass by the Kleine Scheidegg at the foot of the north face of the Eiger and the Sea of Ice. The views from the summit, high above the Great Aletsch Glacier, are truly stunning. Lucerne - A full day excursion to the delightful lakeside town of Lucerne. You will see the Chapel Bridge, the Water Tower, the famous Lion of Lucerne and enjoy a cruise on the lake. YOUR HOTEL You will stay in the comfortable Hotel Carlton - Europe a complex of two hotels with a shared lobby, located just a short walk from the centre of Interlaken. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar and lift. All bedrooms are comfortably appointed with private facilities, TV, radio and telephone.
