Wangfujing shopping district or the fascinating Hutong district? DAY 6 - This morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. On arrival, transfer to your hotel for a four night stay. Lunch is included today. DAY 7 - Shanghai is a vibrant and exciting city. Our included sightseeing programme offers the best of Shanghai. Highlights include the thronging shopping thoroughfare of Nanjing Road, the traditional Old Town, with its ancient Wu Xing Ting Teahouse, and the Yu Yuan Gardens, a classic Chinese garden. You will also visit the beautiful Jade Buddha Temple and have time to stroll along The Bund, the city's famous riverside boulevard. Lunch is included today. This evening there is an included visit to an Acrobatic Show. DAYS 8 & 9 - Two free days to explore Shanghai. You can also take the optional excursion to Suzhou by train. This beautiful city is famous for its landscaped gardens, narrow canals and traditional Chinese architecture. DAY 10 - Depart for the airport on your return flight to the UK via Beijing. As you are flying westwards, arrival will be later the same day.

YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - This will be day 10 of the Beijing and Shanghai tour. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Xian. Here you will visit the small Wild Goose Pagoda, Yangling and the Han Tombs before proceeding to your hotel for a two night stay. Breakfast and lunch are included today. DAY 2 - After breakfast take the included tour to see the incredible Terracotta Army at Li Shan Mountain, where the first Qin emperor was interred in 200 BC with at least 6,000 life-size terracotta figures representing the individuals of the Imperial Guard. See another side of this fascinating country on a wonderfully scenic add-on to Guilin and Yangshou in the southwest of China. You will cruise along the Li River, admiring the picturesque limestone hills dotting the landscape.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - This will be Day 10 of the main itinerary, or Day 12 if also taking the Xian add-on. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Guilin. On arrival continue to your hotel for a two night stay. Guilin, sat on the Li River, is also known as the Pearl of China' and dates back more than 2,000 years. DAY 2 - Today there is an included excursion to the impressive Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk Hill. DAY 3 - After breakfast, take the included leisurely cruise along the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo, where you will transfer to your hotel for a two night stay. DAY 4 - Take our included hour-long guided walk along the Yulong River, and spend the rest of the day exploring Yangshou under your own steam. DAY 5 - Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Beijing, where you will transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. DAY 6 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. As you are flying westwards, arrival will be later the same day.
