Hotel facilities include restaurant, bar and gym. All rooms feature private facilities, telephone, TV, minibar and air-conditioning. In the Amazon region, accommodation is at La Selva Lodge. The comfortable cabins are made from traditional materials, with thatched roofs and terraces, and all have private facilities. Other amenities include a bar and restaurant with views over Garzacocha Lake. Accommodation in the Galapagos Islands will be at the Hotel Silberstein in Puerto Ayora on the island of Santa Cruz, excellently located just 400ft from the beach. All rooms feature private facilities, and ceiling fans, and the hotel benefits from a restaurant, bar, lounge and cafeteria.

The Galapagos Islands are among the most fascinating destinations on earth. Their unique collection of plants and wildlife inspired Charles Darwin in his development of the theory of evolution during his epic voyage on HMS Beagle, and you will come face to face with many of the species, such as the renowned giant tortoises and marine iguanas, that so fascinated early visitors to the islands. You will also get to know Ecuador's fascinating capital city, Quito, with its mix of Spanish colonial history and traditional South American culture. You then delve deep into the heart of Amazon country, with a stay at a lodge to experience the verdant rainforest and its abundance of wildlife. Few holidays can offer you such a wealth of incredible experiences. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Quito, Ecuador. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a three night stay. DAY 2 - Today we have included a full day excursion to Otavalo and Pakakuna Gardens. First stop is at the market of the Otavaleno Indians, one of the most important and spectacular in all of Latin America. Continue to Pakakuna Gardens, located 8,000ft above sea level in the Pichincha province. View the fabulous diversity of vegetation, made possible by the special soil and climate. DAY 3 - Today is at leisure with optional excursions available such as a tour of museums, a panoramic tour of Quito, shopping and much more. DAY 4 - Transfer to the airport for the journey into the rainforest. Your flight rises over the majestic snow-covered peaks of the Andes Mountains before descending over 8,500ft into the Amazon region. You will be met on arrival and taken by covered motorised canoe on a two hour trip down the Napo River. Continue to your lodge for a two night stay. DAY 5 - A breathtaking day in the heart of the South American rainforest, shot through with the forbidding waters of the Amazon and the
