YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Cairo. Transfer to your hotel for a two night stay.

DAY 2 - We include a full day visit to the Pyramids at Giza, the Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum. DAY 3 - Fly from Cairo to Abu Simbel, where you board the MS Nubian Sea for a three night cruise on Lake Nasser. This afternoon, visit the Temple of Abu Simbel, where you enjoy a sound and light show. DAY 4 - This morning you sail past the island of Kasr Ibrim, closed to all but archaeologists, before cruising to Amada for a tour and Wadi el Sebou for an overnight stay. DAY 5 - Today we include tours of Wadi el Sebou and Dakka before sailing to Aswan. DAY 6 - The cruise today takes you to Kalabsha and Beit el Wali, where you disembark the ship and transfer to Aswan for a two night stay. This afternoon, enjoy a half day sailing on the Nile aboard a traditional Felucca to Elephantine Island and past the Mausoleum of Aga Khan. DAY 7 - Today you visit the Philae Temple, High Dam and Old Dam. DAY 8 - Leave Aswan behind and head to Luxor, visiting Edfu and the temple of Kom Ombo en route. Transfer to your hotel for a two night stay. DAY 9 - This morning, visit the Valley of Kings, the Valley of Queens, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon, you will visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor. DAY 10 - Fly from Luxor back to Cairo for an overnight stay. This afternoon is free in Cairo. DAY 11 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

You will then sail to Edfu to see the 2,000-yearold Ptolemaic Temple with its incredible frescoes, dedicated to the god, Horus, and perhaps the best preserved in Egypt. Sail on to ancient Thebes, known today as Luxor, where your ship will berth overnight. DAY 6 - Luxor is a huge open-air museum set on both sides of the Nile. Here you will find an aweinspiring collection of ancient monuments. During the afternoon you will visit the Temple of Karnak and the Luxor Temple. Dedicated to the creator god Amun, Luxor was originally linked to Karnak, the oldest, largest and most imposing Pharonic temple complex. Highlights include the Avenue of Sphinxes, monumental Great Hypostyle Hall and Queen Hatsheput's pink granite obelisk. According to legend, a wish made beside the sacred lake is certain to come true. You will also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, dedicated to the cow-eared goddess Hathor and the highlight of today, the fabulous Valley of the Kings. So far, 64 Pharaohs' tombs have been excavated, including Tutankhaman's burial chamber discovered by Howard Carter in 1922. Vivid carvings and paintings depict the religious rituals and earthly goods needed by deceased Pharaohs in the afterlife. DAY 7 - Morning free before transferring to the airport for your flight to Cairo. On arrival transfer to your hotel for an overnight stop. DAY 8 - Transfer to the airport for the return flight to the UK.
