evening drink by the water's edge. After sunset return to the hotel. DAY 5 - Today is the day for your spectacular walking tour of Victoria Falls. Discovered' by Dr. David Livingstone on 16 November, 1855, with a height twice that of Niagara Falls and a width of 5,600ft, the Victoria Falls have the capacity to push 150 million gallons of water per minute over the mile-wide basalt cliff truly awesome! Your tour will take you along one of the most scenic sections of the falls, stopping at various vantage points on the way. Walk over the famous Knife Edge Bridge as it crosses the Zambezi River and view the neighbouring country of Zimbabwe just beyond the rising mist, created by the sheer force of this mighty river as it hits the rocks below. Remainder of the day at leisure. DAY 6 - Today you can join an optional full day safari adventure into Chobe National Park situated in neighbouring Botswana and home to over 40,000 elephants. Alternatively take a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls or a canoe trip along the Zambezi. DAY 7 - Morning transfer to the airport for your flight via Johannesburg to Cape Town for your three night stay. DAY 8 - Table Mountain is one of the world's must-see' sights and this morning you will take a cable car to the top. Next you will discover Cape Town on an introducory city tour featuring the Malay Quarter, city centre and the Company Gardens.
From Milnerton Lighthouse you can capture the classic panorama of majestic Table Mountain in all its glory. Return to the hotel where the rest of the day is at leisure. DAY 9 - Today we have included a full day tour of Cape Peninsula bringing yet more unforgettable memories. Our first stop is Hout Bay, where you can browse through the variety of shops, which line the pretty harbour front. Our journey continues via Constantia Nek to the glorious Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. One of the world's greatest botanical gardens, Kirstenbosch houses over 5,000 plant species. Next visit Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, on foot or by funicular, for more stunning views. Continue to Boulders Beach where you will visit the Penguin colony. Return to Cape Town via Fish Hoek and Muizenberg. DAY 10 - For lovers of good wine, this day is a real highlight as you embark upon this classic full day tour of the Winelands, through spectacular vineyard covered valleys and along breathtaking, scenic routes. Visit Stellenbosch, the second oldest European settlement in South Africa with some of the best preserved historic buildings, visit age-old wine cellars and sample local wines before returning to Cape Town. Transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your return flight to the UK. DAY 11 - Morning arrival in the UK.
