All rooms feature private facilities. Hotel facilities include restaurant, bar and some have swimming pools. MOUNT KILIMANJARO Tanzania's glorious coastline, fascinating history and stunning scenery are reasons enough to visit, but one attraction overwhelms all others  Tanzania is one of Africa's prime game viewing countries. Tanzania's national parks and game reserves, which include the famous Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, are home to around a quarter of all Africa's large mammals. We include four parks, with lots of opportunities to see lion, antelope, elephant, cheetah, zebra, wildebeest, rhino and many other species. What's more, you will be pleasantly surprised by the comfort in which your safaris will be conducted  special safari vehicles, lodges with modern facilities, and expert guides. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Kilimanjaro in northern Tanzania. Upon arrival you will transfer to Arusha where two nights' accommodation has been arranged at the Arumeru River Lodge or similar. DAY 2 - Join our included morning city tour of Arusha, the safari capital of northern Tanzania, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, and the smaller but still impressive Mount Meru. Lunch in town before heading off to Arusha National Park for your first chance of game viewing. DAY 3 - Morning departure for the drive to the Tarangire area and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. In the afternoon you will explore the vast expanse of Tarangire National Park offering the unique baobab trees as well as many herds of elephant. DAY 4 - Morning departure for the drive to the top of the Rift Valley Escarpment and the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge for an overnight stay. This afternoon descend to the floor of the escarpment for game viewing in the Lake National Park. This smaller park offers a great variety of primates. DAY 5 - Morning drive across the wheat plains, past maize fields and coffee farms to Gibbs Farm, at the edge of the Great Rift Valley, which extends 3,000 miles from north Syria to central Mozambique. Here you can enjoy the tranquillity of rural life in a timeless setting. Lunch is included.
