The hotel is situated on the banks of the Zambezi with views towards the Falls which are just a short walk away. The restaurant and bar are focused around the landscaped central pool, which allows you to cool off in the heat of the sun and the two-storey rooms have private balconies that welcome either the morning sun or evening sunset. Amenities in the rooms include air-conditioning, satellite TV, safe and telephone. In Botswana you will stay at the Chobe Marina Lodge situated on the Chobe River, surrounded by the unspoilt African bush. All rooms feature the comfort of air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, minibar, safe and mosquito nets. Other facilities include restaurant, bar and pool. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Livingstone. DAY 2 - On arrival in Livingstone you will be transferred to the Zambezi Sun Hotel for a four night stay. The town moved from Old Drift by the river to Constitution Hill in 1905 and was carefully planned with wide streets, avenues of beautiful trees, and buildings with high ceilings and mosquito netted verandas. You will find a comprehensive collection of the famous explorer's memorabilia at the Livingstone Museum and can stroll through the bustling Maramba market where the local Zambians shop. The colourful stalls are laden with everything from fruit and vegetables to second hand clothes and bright Chitenge, a local fabric. This afternoon join our included tour of Makuni Village, an authentic tribal village and home to the Leya people, providing a fascinating insight into their way of life. Guided by one of the villagers you will see how traditional huts are built and decorated, take a look inside, meet the residents and watch the locals at work. DAY 3 - This morning you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the magnificent Victoria Falls. Discovered' by Dr Livingstone on 16 November 1855, they are twice the height of Niagara, 5,600ft wide and have the capacity to push 150 million gallons of water per minute over the mile-wide basalt cliff  a truly awesome sight and one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world. Your tour will take you along one of the most scenic sections of the Falls, stopping at various vantage points on the way. You will walk over the famous Knife Edge Bridge as it crosses the Zambezi River and view the neighbouring country of Zimbabwe just beyond the rising mist, created by the sheer force of the mighty river as it hits the rocks below.
