YoUr itiNErarY DaY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Rio de Janeiro. DaY 2 - Arrival in Rio de Janeiro. Transfer to your hotel for a four night stay. This immense country is a land of warm sun, bright colours, irresistible rhythms, unsurpassed natural beauty and captivating contrasts. It is a land of carnival, coffee, soccer and samba. Rio de Janeiro is unique simply bursting with energy, excitement and entertainment. It is beautifully situated beneath Sugar Loaf Mountain, and blessed with magnificent beaches such as Copacabana and Ipanema. With its exciting rhythms, bustling shops and fashionable bars, it is an informal and intriguing city. This afternoon we have included a tour to Sugar Loaf Mountain, plus a cable car ride to the top for spectacular views. DaY 3 - This morning we will take you on an historical tour of the city featuring the Opera House, National Library and much more! Afternoon and evening at leisure. DaY 4 - Full day included excursion to Petropolis, former summer residence of the Emperor of Brazil. Petropolis is a charming town and the drive to it affords a first rate opportunity to view some of Brazils stunning inland countryside. DaY 5 - Today you will enjoy an included tour to the peak of Corcovado and the famous Statue of Christ. The statue is reached by a small cog railway which winds up the mountain. From the top, there are amazing views across Rio. Afternoon at leisure. This evening you have the opportunity of experiencing Rio by night including dinner and a samba show. DaY 6 - Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguaçú Falls. Transfer to your hotel for a two night stay. Situated at the meeting point of three countries (Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina), Iguaçú Falls, meaning great water, are one of the worlds largest natural wonders. They are higher than Niagara, wider than Victoria, and stretch in a crescent with 275 separate falls, pouring up to eight million gallons of water every second into the swirling river below. This afternoon you will be taken on a walking tour of the Brazilian side of the falls. DaY 7 - Morning included tour of the Argentinian side of the falls. This afternoon will be free to relax or explore the falls further. DaY 8 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. DaY 9 - Arrival in the UK.
