DAY 2 - On arrival in Beijing, transfer to your hotel for a two night stay. DAY 3 - Today we include a full day sightseeing tour of Beijing. This evening, there is a special Peking Duck Dinner. DAY 4 - This morning, we transfer to Shanhaiguan. We include a visit to the great Wall museum. Overnight accommodation has been arranged. DAY 6 - We take our first walk from Luo Wen Yu to Qu Ke Yu (approx. 3 hours walk). This afternoon, visit the Qing Tombs. DAY 7 - Our second walk along the wall takes us from huang Ya Fuan to Tai Ping Zhai (approx. 1½ hours walk). Overnight accommodation has been arranged in Huang Ya Guan. honG konG There is so much to see and we include a half day sightseeing tour. Hong Kong is a culinary paradise and the shopping and nightlife are legendary. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - This will be the final day of our 10 day itinerary (page 11), our 15 day itinerary (page 13), our Silk Route tour (page 21), and our Chinas Shangri-la tour (page 27). Transfer to the airport for your flight to hong Kong. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel for four nights. The rest of the afternoon and evening are free to relax. DAY 2 - An included morning sightseeing tour of hong Kong island. You will cross from the mainland (Kowloon) to Hong Kong Island and proceed to the top of Victoria Peak for the best view in town! The tour then includes such sights as Repulse Bay, and the fishing village of aberdeen, famous for its floating community of 30,000 people. DAYS 3 & 4 - Many fascinating optional excursions will be available. You can take a day trip into the new Territories or across the Pearl River to the former Portuguese colony of Macau which reverted back to Chinese rule in December 1999. You can take a harbour cruise or sail along the coast to Aberdeen for a seafood lunch. A ride on the Star Ferry is an absolute must. For a few pence you can see the whole city from a spectacular vantage point. Alternatively, you can stroll through the busy streets, shop for bargains and soak up the atmosphere of one of the worlds greatest cities. DAY 5 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK arriving later the same day. YOUR HOTEl You will stay in the Ramada Kowloon or similar. All rooms feature private facilities, air-conditioning, minibar, TV and telephone. Hotel facilities include restaurant and bar . DAY 8 - Today we walk from Ji Shan Ling to Si Ma Ta (approx 4 hours walk). Overnight accommodation has been arranged. DAY 9 - Our last walk begins in Mu Tian Yu. On completion, transfer back to Beijing for a two night stay. Special Mongolian dinner tonight. DAY 10 - Enjoy a visit to the Summer Palace and world famous Beijing Zoo, with the rest of the day at leisure. DAY 11 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK, arriving later the same day.
