VIcTORIA FAllS The Falls are impressive at any time of year. However the volume of water cascading down depends on the amount of rainfall in any particular month. Between July and January water levels tend to be lower, whilst in high season, from February to June, there are likely to be heavy mists.
ADD-ON
DAYS 4 & 5 - You are free to relax or enjoy one of our optional excursions. You can take a scenic flight over Victoria Falls, an elephant safari, or join a game drive into Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, one of Zambias famous parks and a wildlife sanctuary. It is home to numerous antelope, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, elephant and giraffe, as well as Zambias only remaining rhinos and birdlife. The National Park also affords stunning views of the Zambezi River. DAY 6 - After breakfast you will travel by road and boat into Botswana for your three night stay at the Chobe Marina Lodge. Late afternoon, join our included river cruise to view the wildlife on the banks of the Chobe River. Look out for crocodiles and hippos and see if you can spot the African jacana or Jesus bird as the sun sets. DAY 7 - Botswana is said to be one of the best game viewing countries in Africa, with almost 40% of its land designated as National Park and protected
wildlife areas. We include an early morning game drive in the famous Chobe National Park. As the second largest park in Botswana it is home to an abundance of wildlife and also one of the few places you are likely to encounter large herds of elephants. The park also has an amazing variety of other game including lion, water buffalo, zebra, leopard, rhino, giraffe, cheetah, impala and if you are fortunate enough, some bushbuck (a type of antelope), which are unique to the Chobe area, plus over 450 different species of birds. Enjoy a late afternoon river cruise. DAY 8 - Early morning river cruise followed by time to relax at your lodge or take an optional activity. Enjoy your last game drive in the African bush after lunch. DAY 9 - Travel by coach across the border back into Zambia for your return flight from Livingstone to the UK. DAY 10 - Arrival in the UK.
