It is home to numerous antelope, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, elephant and giraffe, as well as Zambia's only remaining rhinos and birdlife. The National Park also affords stunning views of the Zambezi River. DAY 6 - After breakfast you will travel by road and boat into Botswana for your three night stay at the Chobe Marina Lodge. The afternoon is free to relax. In the evening join our included cruise to view the wildlife on the bank of the Chobe River. Look out for crocodiles and hippos and see if you can spot the African jacana or `Jesus bird'. DAY 7 - Botswana is said to be one of the best game viewing countries in Africa and we include an early morning game drive in the famous Chobe National Park, one of the world's greatest game reserves. As the second largest park in Botswana it is home to an abundance of wildlife and also one of the few places you are likely to encounter large herds of elephants. The park also has an amazing variety of other game including lion, water buffalo, zebra, leopard, rhino,
giraffe, cheetah, impala and if you are fortunate enough, some bushbuck (a type of antelope), which are unique to the Chobe area, plus over 450 different species of birds. Afternoon at leisure followed by an evening cruise. DAY 8 - Early morning game drive followed by breakfast back at the lodge. After breakfast we transfer by boat into Namibia for your chance to visit another African country. Few countries can boast its beauty and diversity from stark desert and imposing sand dunes, to rugged coastline, vast national parks and spectacular wildlife. On arrival we enjoy a pleasant walk followed by a visit to Kasika Island, a cultural village. Return to your lodge in Botswana for an afternoon at leisure. Enjoy another included river cruise this evening. DAY 9 - Travel by coach across the border back into Zambia for your return flight from Livingstone to the UK. DAY 10 - Arrival in the UK.
VICTORIA FALLS The Falls are impressive at any time of year. However the volume of water cascading down depends on the amount of rainfall in any particular month. Between July and January water levels tend to be lower, whilst in high season, from February to June, there are likely to be heavy mists.
