The game parks of Kenya are amongst the finest in the world and Tanzania is one of Africa's prime game viewing countries and home to around a quarter of all the continent's large mammals. Indeed the word `safari' is Swahili for `journey'. This spectacular holiday takes you on a memorable journey through some of Kenya's best game reserves, including the Masai Mara and Amboseli, before exploring Tarangire and Ngorongoro in Tanzania. It is a superb chance to view an abundance of elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, lions, rhinoceroses, hippopotamus, cheetahs, wildebeest and more.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Nairobi. On arrival, transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. DAY 2 - Early morning drive through the Great Rift Valley to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, one of the world's most enthralling wildlife theatres and where much of the movie `Out of Africa' was filmed. The reserve is home to the `Big Five' lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo and each year is the spectacular setting for the great wildebeest and zebra migration. We include an afternoon game drive, then continue to the Mara Sopa Lodge for a two night stay. Dinner at the lodge this evening. DAY 3 - Take an early morning game drive or enjoy an unforgettable optional balloon trip including a sparkling wine breakfast. Rest of the day free to relax or join an optional game drive. Dinner at the lodge this evening.
