All rooms are well furnished with private facilities, though please bear in mind that hotels in remote areas may be more basic. Hotel facilities include a restaurant and bar. Your Meals All meals are included whilst in China. Breakfast is mostly western continental style, followed by Chinese lunch and dinner, each consisting of a wide variety of tasty dishes. Beer and soft drinks are always available.

Marvel at the pristine beauty of Jiuzhaigou's stunning lakes and mountains; absorb the strong Tibetan characteristics of rural Sichuan Province; explore the remarkable, perfectly preserved Ming Dynasty merchants' townships in Anhui Province; spend time amongst the curiously shaped peaks of the Yellow Mountains the landscape depicted in countless Chinese paintings, and treated with near reverence by all Chinese. What's more, we also include mystical Hangzhou and a final two nights in vibrant Shanghai. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province. DAY 2 - Arrival in Chengdu, where you will transfer to your hotel for a two night stay. Despite recent modernisation, Chengdu remains a captivating and lively city, with plenty of narrow streets and busy markets. During your stay we include a short city sightseeing tour. MONGOLIA

DAY 3 - Today you will visit the remarkable Grand Buddha at Leshan, situated approximately 70 miles south of Chengdu. Carved into a cliff face overlooking a river, the Buddha is the world's largest at over 210ft high. It took 100 years to create and was completed around 800 AD. We include a boat trip, which affords superb views of the Buddha. DAY 4 - Morning visit to the Sichuan Province, the natural home of the Giant Panda. We include a visit to the Chengdu Panda Research Base to see these beautiful animals. Afternoon transfer to the airport for the short flight to Jiuzhaigou, a unique and spectacularly beautiful alpine region of dazzling lakes and mountains just inside Sichuan's northern border. Jiuzhaigou is now a national nature reserve and a World Heritage Site. It is a protected environment for golden monkeys and pandas. The area is very close to Tibet, and Tibetan villages, lifestyle and farmsteads predominate in this unspoilt land. On arrival at the newly constructed airport, you will transfer to your hotel before beginning your exploration of the region. DAY 5 - A full day's leisurely drive around the natural marvels of Jiuzhaigou, including Five Coloured Pool, Panda Lake and Promising Bright Bay Waterfall. Jiuzhaigou is situated at 6,500ft, and the highest point during today's drive is 9,800ft. DAY 6 - Transfer to the airport for the flight, via Chengdu, to Hangzhou for a two night stay.
