Hong Kong Add-on
There is so much to see and we include a half day sightseeing tour. Hong Kong is a culinary paradise and the shopping and nightlife are legendary. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - This will be the final day of our 10 day itinerary (page 9), our 15 day itinerary (page 11), our Silk Route tour (page15), and our China's Shangri-la tour (page 23). Transfer to the airport for your flight to Hong Kong. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel for four nights. The rest of the afternoon and evening are free to relax. DAY 2 - An included morning sightseeing tour of Hong Kong Island. You will cross from the mainland (Kowloon) to Hong Kong Island and proceed to the top of Victoria Peak for the best view in town! The tour then includes such sights as Repulse Bay, and the fishing village of Aberdeen, famous for its floating community of 30,000 people. DAYS 3 & 4 - Many fascinating optional excursions will be available. You can take a day trip into the New Territories or across the Pearl T River to the former Portuguese colony of Macau which reverted back to Chinese rule in December 1999. You can take a harbour cruise or sail along the coast to Aberdeen for a seafood lunch. A ride on the Star Ferry is an absolute must. For a few pence you can see the whole city from a spectacular vantage point. Alternatively, you can stroll through the busy streets, shop for bargains and soak up the atmosphere of one of the world's greatest cities. DAY 5 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK arriving later the same day.

This 24-hour journey, the majority in daylight, takes you in comfort through rural countryside and villages, crossing the Yangtze River at Wuhan before entering Guangzhou Province. The train stops in the city of Guangzhou (Canton) before arriving at Kowloon, Hong Kong for your four night stay. It's the perfect way to get the most from this super add-on. On arrival in Hong Kong, transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. Your itinerary then follows Days 2 to 5 of the main Hong Kong add-on.
