Enjoy the thrill of trail walking amidst the extraordinary shapes, shadows and colours of Americas stunningly beautiful canyons. This superb tour takes you to the amazing landscapes of Arizona and Utah, where the terrain includes desert wilderness, dramatic gorges and beautiful lakes. Enjoy this unrivalled opportunity to walk in the National Parks of remarkable Bryce Canyon, stunning Zion and in the world-famous Grand Canyon. You will drive through the incredible Monument Valley, take a boat trip on the vast Lake Powell, as well as visiting Las Vegas and Scottsdale on this wonderful holiday to a truly spectacular part of the United States of America.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 UK/AMERICA Depart on your scheduled flight to Las Vegas. On arrival transfer to the Stratosphere Hotel for an overnight stay. DAY 2 ZION NATIONAL PARK Morning departure for the drive to Zion National Park, unique for its sheer cliffs, deep chasms and bizarre shapes. An afternoon walk into the park is included, along the Riverside Walk, leading you along a narrow gorge to the Virgin River (approx. 2 hours walk). Overnight stop in the Zion area. DAY 3 BRYCE CANYON Morning departure for the drive to Bryce Canyon, one of Americas most remarkable National Parks, for a two night stay at Bryce View Lodge or similar. DAY 4 BRYCE CANYON Enjoy a full day at Bryce Canyon. Here, natures artistry has created an immense amphitheatre of cream and pink-tinted pinnacles, pillars and delicate spires. The changing light throughout the day creates an ever-varying perspective of shape and colour. We have included a walk around the 8 mile long Fairyland Trail, where you pass the Sinking Ship mesa, a rock formation that looks remarkably like a sinking ship, pay

leisure for you to explore under your own steam, or enjoy one of the range of optional activities available, including a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, a unique experience which gives you magnificent close up views. DAY 8 SCOTTSDALE Morning departure through the spectacular Oak Creek Canyon and the fashionable township of Sedona, beautifully situated against a backdrop of gloriously coloured rock formations. Your journey today ends in Scottsdale where you will stay for two nights at the Hospitality Suites or similar. DAY 9 SCOTTSDALE Included morning tour through the Valley of the Sun visiting Phoenix and the homes of the rich and
a visit to Tower Bridge before climbing to the rim of the canyon for spectacular views of the fantastic Hoodoos, spires of rock soaring up from the floor of the canyon (approx. 6 hours walk). This evening a traditional western cookout dinner is included. DAY 5 LAKE POWELL Today our journey takes us to Lake Powell, bordered by the imposing rock faces of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. We include a leisurely boat trip on this vast lake followed by an overnight stay in Page at the Best Western or similar. DAY 6 GRAND CANYON Leaving Page we travel through the Navajo Indian Reservation and then continue south through Monument Valley, the backdrop to so many Westerns and where spectacular sandstone buttes tower over the valley floor. Continue to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon for a two night stay at the Quality Inn and Suites or similar. DAY 7 - GRAND CANYON Today you wake early for a sunrise walk into the Grand Canyon joining part of the Bright Angel Trail, in the company of a local guide. We will enjoy wonderful views along the whole trail (approx 4 hours walk). The afternoon is at
