Christmas shopping at the famous Salzburg Christmas Market is a really special treat. The bright sights and the happy sounds of the festive season blend wonderfully in Cathedral Square and will certainly lift your Christmas spirits.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Local departure and a mid-morning crossing to Calais. Continue to northern France for an overnight stop on a bed and breakfast basis. DAY 2 - We continue through Germany and into the glorious scenery of the Austrian Tirol for a three night stay in the pretty resort of Westendorf in the beautiful Brixen Valley near Kitzbühel. DAY 3 - Join our included full day excursion to Salzburg, Mozarts birthplace, to visit the traditional Christmas market. Allow yourself time to stroll along the famous Getreidegasse where you will find stylish shops, boutiques, antique dealers and cafés. DAY 4 - Free to relax or enjoy our optional three-quarter day excursion to Innsbruck to visit the Christmas markets situated in the delightful pedestrianised Altstadt (old town). DAY 5 - Leaving Austria we head back through Germany to northern France and an overnight stop on a bed and breakfast basis.

DAY 6 - Late afternoon crossing back to the UK, returning to your original departure point in the evening. YOUR HOTEL You will stay in the comfortable family-run Gasthof Aschenwald, located on the outskirts of Westendorf. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished and have private facilities, cable TV and radio. Please note there is no lift in the hotel.

Known as the Golden City and located in the heart of Bohemia, Prague is impressive by any standards culturally alive, architecturally stunning, with a deep sense of history and a vibrant atmosphere.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Local departure and a mid-morning crossing to Calais. Travel through Belgium and into Germany for an overnight stay in the Frankfurt area on a bed and breakfast basis. DAY 2 - Continue east into the Czech Republic to Prague, where you will stay for three nights. DAY 3 - Join our included visit to Pragues old town to explore the wonderful medieval streets and squares. There will also be the option of a walking tour with an official guide to see Wenceslas Square, the Old Town Hall and the Charles Bridge (extra cost). DAY 4 - We include a second visit to Pragues historic centre for further shopping and sightseeing and an optional guided tour of Prague Castle. DAY 5 - Regrettably time to head home, returning through Germany, again with an overnight stop on a bed and breakfast basis. DAY 6 - Depart after breakfast for a late afternoon crossing back to the UK and continue to your original departure point in the evening. YOUR HOTEL You will stay in the comfortable medium grade Hotel Albion, located on the outskirts of Prague. Facilities at the hotel include a bar, restaurant and lift. All bedrooms have private facilities, TV, telephone and minibar.
