The rugged snow-capped Dolomites offer the perfect backdrop to this magical winter break which combines a stay in the lovely Val di Non area of northern Italy, with visits to two of the best Christmas markets in Italy.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Local departure and a mid-morning crossing to Calais. Continue to your overnight stop in the Strasbourg area of France on a bed and breakfast basis. DAY 2 - Continue south on a scenic drive through Switzerland and Austria via the Brenner Pass into Italy to arrive in the Dolomites for a three night stay. Welcome drink followed by dinner. DAY 3 - Join our included three-quarter day visit to Bolzano Christmas Market, held in the historic main square. As well as shopping we include a hot mulled wine, plus you can take a horse-drawn carriage ride (extra cost) or maybe visit the archaeological museum to view the famous ice-man mummy exhibit known as Otzi. DAY 4 - Enjoy our included three-quarter day excursion to the elegant riverside spa resort of Merano and a visit to the excellent Christmas market with a programme of music and street performances. DAY 5 - Time to leave Italy and head back via Austria and Switzerland to northern France for a final overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis. DAY 6 - Continue to Calais for a late afternoon crossing back to the UK, returning to your original departure point in the evening. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Prague. Transfer to your hotel on the outskirts of Prague for a three night stay. DAY 2 - Join our included visit to Pragues old town, with a chance to visit the traditional Christmas market. DAY 3 - Free to relax or join our optional excursion to Prague Castle. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the castle then stroll back to the old town via Golden Lane and the castle walls for free time to explore further at your own pace. DAY 4 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. YOUR HOTEL You will stay in the comfortable medium grade modern Top Hotel, located on the outskirts of Prague.
