Krakow is a lovely city in the beautiful south of Poland, its heart is the massive market square, Rynek Glowny, venue for the annual Christmas market. This festive celebration sees wooden stalls selling traditional wares and delicacies, and is a wonderful way to mark the beginning of the Christmas season. Youll also have plenty of time to discover the many charms of this historic city.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Krakow. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a three night stay. Dinner this evening is included. DAY 2 - This morning we include a walking tour of the old town with a local guide. Among the wonderful sights that you will see are the Royal Castle, which served as a residence for the Polish monarchy for around 500 years, the celebrated Cloth Hall, and the Market Square. The square is dominated by the 14th century St. Marys Church, with an impressive wooden altar. This afternoon is free for you to explore further and visit the citys Christmas market. Here youll find a wealth of traditional goods, including Christmas decorations, hand-made toys, carved wooden boxes, leather goods, crystal and amber jewellery and more. Among the many tasty snacks and drinks to sample are mountain cheese and Galician hot wine. DAY 3 - Free in Krakow or join our full day optional excursion to Auschwitz. This moving visit takes you to the largest of the Nazi concentration camps, preserved so that the crimes of World War II are never forgotten.

You will find a delicious selection of seasonal food and drink in Alexanderplatz, while a life-sized nativity crib graces Schlossplatz. Soak up the ambience, while stocking up on great Christmas gifts. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Berlin. On arrival transfer to your city hotel for a three night stay. This evening dinner is included at the hotel. DAY 2 - Today we include a morning panoramic city tour featuring such sights as the Reichstag, seat of the German Government, the impressive 21st century Potsdamerplatz, Brandenburg Gate and Unter den Linden, the State Opera House, plus the famed border crossing site Checkpoint Charlie, Alexanderplatz, and the TV Tower. The afternoon is free to shop in the citys numerous Christmas markets and perhaps visit the incredible Ka De We department store. DAY 3 - Optional three-quarter day tour to the elegant, old baroque town of Potsdam. Stroll round the beautiful Sans Souci Palace, view the old Russian dwellings and the stylish Cecilienhof, now a hotel, where the Potsdam Agreement was signed by Truman, Stalin and Churchill, signifying the end of World War II and the start of divided Berlin and occupied Germany.

On one evening, join our optional panoramic tour of Berlin, including a meal at a local restaurant. DAY 4 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. YOUR HOTEL You will stay in the centrally located Best Western Queens Hotel Berlin approx. 20 minutes walk from Berlins famous shopping street, the Kurfürstendamm and close to the metro.
