Sunday 3rd Kirkwall Arrive 0800 ­ Depart 1400 Capital of the Orkney Islands, Kirkwall is dominated by the magnificent St. Magnus' Cathedral, built in medieval times using locally quarried red and yellow sandstone. Whilst here you can choose to visit a wide range of attractions, including Scapa Flow, one of Britain's most historic stretches of water which has played an important role in travel, trade and conflict throughout the centuries, especially both during World Wars including the scuttling of the German fleet in 1919. You can also visit Loch of Harray, one of the best fishing lochs in Scotland, the remaining megalithic Standing Stones of Stenness each around 19 feet high, or the prehistoric village of Skara Brae.You can also walk round Skaill House and the Ring of Brodgar, a 5,000-year-old henge for a valuable insight into Orkney's diverse and exciting past. Monday 4th Oban Arrive 1000 ­ Depart 1900 Oban's most famous monument is McCaig's Folly, an unfinished replica of the Colosseum. Shore excursions include a journey through the breathtaking Scottish Highlands to scenic Loch Linnhe, a sea loch on the west coast and popular spot for photographers and a visit to the 18th century Inveraray Castle, the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll.You can also take a drive to Seil Island ten miles south of Oban with its intriguing Atlantic Bridge and fascinating history. Tuesday 5th Belfast Arrive 0800 ­ Depart 1900 Set between the sea and the rolling hills, Belfast is a vibrant city, whose highlights include the City Hall, Queen's University, the Botanic Gardens, and the fascinating Ulster Museum. You can join an excursion to the amazing Giant's Causeway, a fantastic coastline of volcanic black basalt columns, white chalk and sandy beaches and the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland. The tour also includes a visit to the Bushmills Distillery, the oldest licensed distillery in the world, where you can perhaps enjoy a whiskey tasting or two. Wednesday 6th Dublin Arrive 0800 ­ Depart 1800 Dublin occupies a beautiful location spread out along the banks of the River Liffey and boasts the largest concentration of Georgian architecture in the world. You can take an optional tour of Ireland's capital city, so rich in culture and history. Highlights include a visit to Trinity College to see the famous Book of Kells, the illuminated manuscript believed to be the work of the monks of Iona who fled to Kells in AD806. Whilst there you can `visit the famous Long Room, home to more than 200,000 ancient books. Alternatively, visit Helen Dillon's famous garden, an oasis of colour and charm in Ranelagh. Of course, the city is known for its super hospitality, so why not enjoy a spot of shopping along lively O'Connell Street and a drink or two in one of the excellent bars and cafés of the Temple Bar area?
