David Barbey has been interested in the arts, and in fine furniture, all his life and for 5 years was responsible for the Valuation Department of a large firm of London Auctioneers. He is involved in the BBC's Bargain Hunt and has also appeared in Flog It and the Antiques Roadshow. He regularly lectures on his subject and his expertise lies in furniture, decorative arts and paintings.
Shore excursions include a visit to the magnificent Cathedral and a trip to the wetlands of La Albufera, which attract thousands of migratory birds. Wednesday 1st October Palma Arrive 0900 Depart 2300 The cosmopolitan capital of Majorca is a charming city with plenty of bars, restaurants, a wonderful old town, great shops and a delightful seafront promenade. Our optional excursions include visits to the monastery at Valldemossa, the vast Caves of
Drach and the delightful mountain village of Deia. Thursday 2nd Mahon, Menorca Arrive 0800 Depart 2000 Menorca, second largest of the Balearic islands, boasts an unspoilt coastline and green and pleasant countryside. The capital, Mahon is filled with historic buildings and beautiful squares, and its compact size makes it easy to explore on foot. Friday 3rd Barcelona Arrive 0900 Vibrant Barcelona is undoubtedly one of Europe's most exciting cities and home to a host of magical
attractions. Our excursions include a tour featuring the architecture of Gaudi's creations, such as the incredible Sagrada Familia, and a city tour visiting the Gothic Quarter and the Spanish Village. You can also visit the Picasso Museum and Montjuic Castle, or take a stroll along the famous Las Ramblas. Our overnight stay allows you to experience the city at night. Saturday 4th Barcelona Transfer to the airport for our return flight to the UK. Coach travel to and from the port/ airport is included.
