New Zealand has a wealth of glorious sights. Our superb holiday provides a comprehensive tour of both North Island and South Island, each with its wealth of breathtaking scenery and enchanting places to visit.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to New Zealand. DAY 3 - As you cross the International Dateline during your flight you will lose Day 2 and arrive in Auckland for a two night stay on the morning of Day 3. Rest of the day at leisure. DAY 4 - This morning a sightseeing tour of Auckland is included. The afternoon is free for you to explore. DAY 5 - Morning departure for Rotorua for a two night stay, stopping at the world-famous Waitomo Caves where we include a guided tour. DAY 12 - Depart Queenstown and drive to the west coast and then along one of the most exciting and scenic roads ever built to the Fox Glacier before transferring to the hotel for an overnight stop. DAY 13 - Return to Christchurch via Arthurs Pass National Park. You also have the option to take the Tranz-Alpine express train. On arrival in Christchurch transfer to your hotel for a two night stay. DAY 14 - Today will be free for you to explore Christchurch. DAY 15 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. DAY 16 - Arrival in the UK.

You will stay in the City Life Hotel or New President Hotel in Auckland, the Sudima Hotel Lake Rotorua in Rotorua, the Bay Plaza Hotel or West Plaza Hotel in Wellington, the Elms Hotel or Latimer Hotel in Christchurch, the Heritage Gateway Hotel in Omarama, the Goldridge Hotel or similar in Queenstown and the Fox Glacier Hotel or similar at the Fox Glacier. Amenities at the hotels include restaurant and bar. All bedrooms have private facilities, TV, telephone and tea/ coffee making facilities. Meals are not included.
DAY 6 - Morning included visit to Whakarewarewa Thermal. Optional afternoon excursion to the Agrodome and Rainbow Springs. Evening opportunity to visit a Maori Hangi and concert. DAY 7 - Depart Rotorua and travel south to Lake Taupo. Continue to Wellington for a city tour and overnight stay. DAY 8 - Today you will sail through the picturesque Cook Strait to Picton. From here you drive south along the Kaikoura Coast to Christchurch for an overnight stay. DAY 9 - Morning sightseeing tour of Christchurch before journeying to Mount Cook. You will have the opportunity to take an optional scenic flight before continuing to Omarama for an overnight stop. DAY 10 - Depart Omarama and travel to the lakeside resort of Wanaka. Then continue to Queenstown. Here two nights accommodation has been arranged for you. DAY 11 - Join our exciting full day optional excursion to Milford Sound for a cruise (weather permitting).
