Our special departures include two days aboard the Rocky Mountaineer train from Jasper, via Kamloops, to Vancouver. One of the most exciting passenger journeys in the world, view the majestic, rugged beauty of some of the worlds most outstanding landscapes from your comfortable reclining seat.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled ight to Calgary for an overnight stay. DAY 2 - World-famous for its annual Stampede, we visit Fort Calgary, the Saddledome Stadium and the site of the 1988 Winter Olympics on our morning tour of Calgary. We continue to Banff for a three night stay in the Banff National Park and a sightseeing tour of Surprise Corner, the Hoodoos and the Bow River. DAY 3 - Free in Banff or join optional excursions to explore the Rockies. DAY 4 - Full day optional excursion to Lake Louise, often described as the most beautiful place in Canada. DAY 5 - We drive along the majestic Banff-Jasper Highway and stop at the Great Columbia Iceeld with an opportunity to take an Ice Explorer ride across the Athabasca Glacier. Early evening arrival in Jasper for a three night stay. DAYS 6 & 7 - Free in Jasper with its own breathtakingly beautiful national park. Optional excursions include Whistlers Mountain Aerial Tramway, a visit to Maligne Lake, a nature walk in Jasper with experienced guides, and the unique Athabasca River Raft Tour (subject to season). DAY 8 - Board the Rocky Mountaineer train in Jasper. An on-board commentary ensures that you will miss nothing as the train forges its way through the grandeur of the Rockies to Kamloops for an overnight stay. DAY 9 - Re-board the train and continue your journey from Kamloops to Vancouver for a three night stay. DAY 10 - Our half day introductory tour takes us to visit Chinatown, Gastown, Stanley Park with its famous totem poles and the magnicent harbour. Enjoy optional excursions to Vancouvers Northshore featuring the spectacular Capilano suspension bridge and a cable car ride up Grouse Mountain for breathtaking views, or visit Victoria, capital of British Columbia to see the marvellous Butchart Gardens, Parliament Building and the fabled Empress Hotel. DAYS 11 & 12 - Free in Vancouver before your afternoon transfer on Day 12 to the airport for your ight back to the UK. DAY 13 - Arrival in the UK

Your Train Rocky Mountaineer Accommodation on board the Rocky Mountaineer is in RedLeaf class, which includes breakfast and lunch at your seat, complimentary snacks, tea, coffee and soft drinks.
