YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to Sri Lanka. DAY 2 - Arrival in Colombo. Included afternoon sightseeing tour. DAY 3 - Travel to the Pinnawela Elephant Sanctuary to watch elephants feeding and training. Continue to Habarana for three nights. DAY 4 - Morning visit to see the 600ft Sigiriya Rock Fortress (The Lion). DAY 5 - After breakfast you visit the Dambulla Rock Temple. You will also have the option to take an elephant ride while in Habarana.

DAY 6 - Leave Habarana for the drive to Kandy, visiting the spice garden at Matale and a Batik factory en route. Enjoy an evening city tour of Kandy. DAY 7 - You will see the Royal Botanical Garden today, with its superb Orchid House. The rest of the afternoon is free. You will also have the opportunity to experience a cultural dance show this evening before heading to the Temple of the Tooth for the Pooja or blessing ceremony. DAY 8 - Continue to the hill station of Nuwara Eliya where you stay for two nights, visiting a tea factory en route. Enjoy afternoon tea at the Hill Club. DAY 9 - Enjoy an included early morning excursion with packed breakfast to Hortons Plains today. We leave early because the plains are not visible after 10am due to heavy mist. We also visit the Bakers Falls. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. DAY 10 - Free to relax this morning. Depart for Colombo in the afternoon and after dinner in the capital, transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. DAY 11 - Arrival in the UK.
