The spring fed waterfalls of Litchfield National Park offer a refreshing break from the tropical heat, before taking a memorable canoe trip through the magnificent Katherine Gorge river system that cuts through the landscape. The next leg of our journey takes us across the tablelands into Northern Queensland, towards the sparkling East Coast beaches. Take a full day cruise to the amazing Outer Barrier Reef. Snorkel or dive in the clear waters, be amazed by the splashes of colour in the corals or hand feed the fish. We then head south to Mission Beach. Spend a couple of free days exploring nearby Dunk Island or go rafting, skydiving or rainforest hiking.
Please note: The first leg of this Trek is a true outback experience. It includes 3 bush camps and 15 meals. On the first 6 days of this tour, you will be traveling in a specially designed 4 wheel drive vehicle as much of the driving is not on tarmac roads. Facilities may be sparse though the scenery is spectacular. We use swags, not tents for the first five nights.
