T ulimate tour of Australia's golden coasts, he colourful reefs and desert outback.
We travel the coast road north for a few night stops next to the beach. Onto Moreton Island for our two day 4WD adventure staying in a local fisherman's cabin. Come and hike the world's highest sand dune, take a swim in crystal clear waters or explore the unusual sand and rock formations. Maybe snorkel at the local shipwrecks and try your skills at sand boarding. Onto the gateway of the Whitsunday Islands, Airlie Beach where you'll have a free day to go sailing on a racing yacht, take a cruise to a millionaire's resort or just swim in the warm tropical waters. Whitewater raft or sea kayak on Mission Beach before our next stop in Cairns. Join a sailing boat to explore the Great Barrier Reef with its incredible diversity of marine life. Hand feed the fish, snorkel among the coral in the clear waters or try scuba diving (no experience needed). Travelling west over the Great Dividing Range we enter cattle country and spend a night in the famous town of Charters Towers. Entering the Northern Territory, take time out for a soak in the hot springs, then we will experience the local wildlife at Katherine Gorge. Cruise up two of the spectacular gorge systems before heading farther north to visit the famous Magnetic termite mounds. Enjoy a free day to take in the sights of Darwin before we depart to the "World Heritage Listed" Kakadu National Park. Visit Nourlangie Rock to see aboriginal rock art thousands of years old. Search for crocodiles, birds, snakes, dingos and much more on our Yellow Water Billabong Cruise. Hike the eerie Devils Marbles with plenty of opportunities for some stunning photographs on the boulders. We arrive at Alice Springs midafternoon and head out on the town for a meal and some nightlife. Experience Aboriginal life on a cultural tour before we marvel and hike the sheer cliffs of Kings Canyon. Next, one of the worlds' largest monoliths, Uluru (Ayers Rock). Discover some aboriginal legends that abound in this World Heritage Area. Later this afternoon you can explore the Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) before viewing the fiery sunset. Wake early the next morning for a stunning sunrise over Uluru before returning to Alice Springs and the end of your awesome Australian adventure.
