While French-Canadian history is brought to the fore, we have thrown in a few twenty-first century thrills for good measure.
Day 14 New York Make sure to stay on a day or two in NYC to scour Fifth for souvenirs, nip into Grand Central Station or just enjoy the irrepressible buzz. Note: This tour may operate in either direction!

Day 1 Finger Lakes Once youve got several miles of trekking under your belt, a dip in those cool waters is worth a million bucks. Day 2 Niagara Falls/Toronto Boy, are those pounding cascades easy on the eye and mighty on the ear. An extreme close-up from the Maid of the Mist delivers sensory overload and a heap of spray. Day 3 Toronto Pick up tasty tidbits at St Lawrence market, survey the head-spinning views from CN Tower and follow your ears around the stomping music scene. Day 4/5 Algonquin Provincial Park Out in the Ontario wilds, set off down canoe routes linked by portage paths, listening for the laughter of loons and howling wolves. Day 6 Ottawa River Opt to test your paddling prowess to the max (when whitewater seasons in full flow) as you whoosh through wooded gorges. Day 7 Ottawa In Canadas capital, witness the changing of the guard, lounge in lush Gatineau Park or munch on the deep fried dough snacks known as beaver tails! Day 8/9 Montreal A kicking summer festival season, strong cultural vibe and narrow lanes choc-a-block with quirky cafés create a real laid-back appeal. Or rip it up across Lachine Rapids by high-powered jet boat. Day 10 Quebec City Get snap happy around the walled Old Town, fuelled by warm pastries or lipsmacking local cheeses. Day 11/12 Acadia National Park Were back on US soil and its crying out for trekking or mountain biking. If youre more of a water baby, sea kayak your way around scenic hidden coves. Day 13 New England Sensational countryside provides the scene for your penultimate night of excited campfire chatter.
