Flexible Itinerary
Day 1 Amana Colonies Heading west over the prairies of Iowa we stop in one of the earliest settlements where a German feast provides a welcome rest Prost! Day 2 Plate River Valley With spectacular views of the Mighty Mo (Missouri River), follow the highway and original trail used by the Pony Express. Day 3 Lake McConaughy The original Big Mac. Over 20 miles long and with 100 miles of shoreline, its equipped for any outdoor activity so get kitted up and get out there. Day 4 Denver (H) You cant get much higher than The Mile High City but with 80 beers brewed locally and a thriving club scene theres plenty of opportunities to try. Day 5/6 Colorado Rockies Two days to explore the mountains and forest trails of the Colorado Rockies. Its a climbing, hiking, paddling and pedalling adrenaline junkie paradise. Day 7/8 Arches National Park Utahs Arches National Park has over 2000 natural sandstone arches and many other unusual rock formations. Catch a sunset behind Delicate Arch then saddle up the next day for exhilarating red rock mountain bike trails. Day 9 Monument Valley Heading into Arizona to the iconic Monument Valley used in Hollywood scenes from Westerns to 2001: A Space Odyssey and everything in between. See how many film locations you can spot. Day 10/11 Grand Canyon National Park No trip west is complete without a stop at the Grand Canyon. Pack your best boots and dont forget your camera on a one day hike along the rim. Then take it easier the next day and take to the skies for a birds eye view.

Day 12 Las Vegas (H) Get out of the desert and get into the casino. Its the self-declared entertainment capital of the world so head down the Strip and take your chances. Day 13 Sierra Nevada A walk in the clear, fresh air of the Sierra Nevada and stunning scenery will soon blow any Vegas cobwebs away. Day 14/15 Yosemite National Park Yosemite is simply sensational. Walk beneath giant Sequoias, hike one of the many trails leading to spectacular vistas and waterfalls. Then sit back and take it all in. Day 16 San Francisco The Golden Gate in the Golden State. San Francisco is where the gold rush started and our fantastic trek ends.
