Experience the arctic wilderness on one of our most remote and extreme itineraries, where the native cultures of Alaska and Canada and the rugged mountain terrain will be sure to impress!
Day 1-3 Anchorage > Denali NP Abundant wildlife, excellent hiking and unspoiled wilderness, ensure the perfect start to an unforgettable journey. Experience the true grandeur of Mt McKinley, North America's tallest peak, on an optional helicopter flight. Day 4 Alaska range Choose to canoe the beautiful MacClaren River or stretch your legs on the tundra covered hills. Day 5 Dawson City Camp on the banks of the mighty Yukon River and gamble at Diamond Tooth Gertie's Saloon. Day 6 Yukon Continue the journey north, before crossing the Arctic Circle to Inuvik. Day 7/8 Inuvik Experience the cultures of the Dene, Metis and Inuvialuit peoples and take an optional flight to the community of Tuktoyaktuk. Day 9 Yukon Return south along the scenic Dempster Highway. Day 10 Dawson City Try the legendary `Sour Toe' cocktail, try your hand at gold panning or hike up to Midnight Dome. Day 11 Whitehorse Follow the trail of the original Sourdough miners along the Yukon River, before enjoying the sights of this frontier capital. Day 12/13 kluane NP Camp on the shores of beautiful Lake Kluane in Yukon's premier national park. Hike up Sheep Mountain or just relax by the lake. Day 14 Tok Home of the world famous Pancake Toss competition, with a chance to win a hearty pancake breakfast. Day 15/16 Wrangell-St Elias NP Explore the abandoned copper mining town of Kennecott, hike the Root glacier or enjoy an optional scenic flight past towering mountains. Day 17/18 Valdez Choose to sea kayak amongst the Columbia Glacier icebergs, an opportunity not to be missed! Day 19/20 kenai Fjords NP Board the Valdez-Whittier ferry across Prince William Sound, to be greeted by even more stunning scenery. The next day, embark on an optional full-day scenic cruise to the Kenai Fjords National Park and perhaps even spot pods of orca. Day 21 kenai Fjords NP > Anchorage Journey north to Anchorage, finishing the tour with a fine Alaskan brew.
