Day 1 Cancun > Merida Leaving the coastal resort of Cancun, we travel back in time amongst the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza, before experiencing the colonial grandeur of Spanish capital Merida. Day 2/3 Palenque Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its spectacular ruins and pristine waterfalls. Enjoy the peace and solitude of the jungle setting as the sun goes down and the sound of Howler monkeys fills the air. preserved in all of the Americas and the locals are well known for their elaborate festivals for Holy Week. Day 12/13 Poptun/Tikal Visit the legendary Finca Ixobel - a working farm welcoming travellers for decades. Beneath a jungle canopy teeming with flocks of raucous parrots lie the fabled ruins of Tikal, where slender pyramids reach to the sky. Day 14-16 Caye Caulker Travel east into Belize and the island paradise of Caye Caulker. With coral gardens and beautiful azure seas, this cauldron of cultures is best known for its laidback vibe, plus the chance to swim with playful stingrays and sharks.
